Jan. 26, 2017-----I'm not saying anything important here...no excuses, & no promises. So...we'll see what happens now.
The message below is from when I first joined Sparkpeople....10 years ago!! Geeeez!! I had lost 35 lbs (went from size 18 jeans to size 12)....but I lost my "spark", & I've gained it all back. Such a sad statement to have to make. :-(

I've always "wanted" to lose the weight--but I guess, wanting & doing are 2 completely different things! WANTING is really just WISHING--DOING involves ACTION--something I haven't been willing to do until now. I'm thru with whining that I WANT to lose the fat I've been packing around. I'm ready to DO THE ACTION to achieve the results. I'm tired of never feeling comfortable in my clothes. I refuse to buy bigger sizes. I hate shopping for new clothes, because I go home defeated & depressed. My body is showing the results of poor choices. Health wise, if I keep going on this road to destruction, I'm headed for lots of problems that I do not want to deal with. It's time for a change--everything points in that direction.

I want to achieve a healthy weight, to feel better, & to lower my chances of certain diseases associated with obesity. It will be so great to go clothes shopping ,& be able to find something that fits.
1. Log my food on the nutrition tracker, & make sure I stay within my calorie range.
2. Making wiser food choices.
3. PORTION CONTROL!
4. Read all nutrition labels.
5. No fast food (except Subway) ,or greasy fried foods.
6. More fruits & veggies.
7. No soda, except for an occasional diet soda.
8. Post on the teams I've joined.
9. Be accountable
10. KEEP MOTIVATED, & not get frustrated when I hit plateaus.
11. KEEP VISUALIZING MY END GOAL!
12. Move, move, & keep moving.
I have learned that you can do all things--but in moderation--that's the key!
I've made several lifelong friends here on Sparkpeople. We all live in different states, & are all different ages...but the times we've gotten together, we've had so much fun!! I hope everyone can make at least one good friend from this website. Reach out...you never know, you may find a great friend!
I am a reality show junkie! Survivor, Amazing Race, Big Brother, The Bachelor, are all addictive! I gotta watch 'em when they're on!

I wonder how 2016 is treating you so far. I'm also making a renewed effort, after back-to-back pregnancies and neglecting fitness for awhile. Best wishes to you my friend!

I am back, again! So far none of my friends are Sparking anymore, but that's ok....I CAN DO THIS alone! I quit smoking almost 10 months ago, & had rotator cuff surgery 8 months ago, & somewhere along the way I found around 25 lbs. It's time to put my mind in the same state it was when I quit smoking, & lose this weight. GO ME!

Yes Tami! My grand-daughter moved in with us, & we joined a gym about 2 months ago. I haven't went yet, but am planning on going with her tomorrow. She likes freggies, like me, so maybe I can start eating healthier, & lose some of this fat! I've been snoring more & it's probably due to the extra weight. Hopefully if I lose some of it...the snoring will cease! Hugs to you & Paul!
