January 2011: Even though my weight is staying the same, I've been feeling really good about my exercise and diet in general. Last year I tried some different foods, and avoided some, in an effort to figure out what makes me feel good or feel crummy. This month I'm trying out a vegan diet since I discovered that dairy doesn't work well for me, and I've slowly been losing my taste for meat. I'm also taking a break from tracking my food, to see how it feels to eat mindfully. I've picked up so many skills on SparkPeople, so I'd like to rely on them and see how I do. If the scale goes up, I'll know I need to start tracking again.

My Goals:
– Drop my body fat down to 26% (this is on my not-so-accurate home scale)
– Run a full lap around my hill without stopping (Done!)
– Hold a 3-minute plank (Done!)

My Program:
Food:
– Focus on fruit, veg, whole grains, lean protein (mostly vegetarian).
– Don't drink.
– Avoid processed foods and sweet baked goods (even the freshest, homemade kind!)

Exercise:
– Cardio @ gym 3x/wk
– Core/ST 1x/wk
– Jog around hill 1x/wk
– Walk as much as possible!

Personal Information:
I live in San Francisco with my delightful husband. We're both starting to navigate middle age. Life is good~
