Hi to whoever's reading my page. My name is Luke, i'm 21, and i'm currently in college. Since college started (2006) I've been going downhill with my eating and fitness. After I stopped playing sports in high school and was introduced to a world without parents, my eating went haywire and in the last three years i've gained close to 100 pounds. Sure i'm embarrassed, but not embarrassed enough to not do something about it. I hope that I can really use this site to keep myself in check on a daily basis. I'd also love to meet other people going through their own weight loss issues so we can be inspirations to one another.

Update: 8/8/2008

Well, i've been coming to spark and dieting and exercising for about a month now, and things are looking great. I really like healthy food and have been sticking to it pretty well. I don't binge as much as I used to and now I'm learning how to responsibly eat foods that aren't great for me instead of just going berzerk. I've been doing cardio lately, but hopefully soon i'll have a strength program ready as well. Stick with it, because it totally pays off in the end. Plus, I dont have heartburn anymore and I dont have as much trouble breathing when i'm walking up stairs or doing strenuous activities around the house.

My Goals:
I'd like to be able to fit back into the clothes I wore in high school. I'd like to feel healthy throughout my entire self. One of my goals that i've kept to myself for so long is that I'd really like to run in races...I remember doing them when I was younger and really enjoying them.

My Program:
KETOSIS
Cardio 5 times a week
Strength Training (not sure how often)

I like movies and music quite a bit.
-Laughter is very important in my life
-I'm all about saving the environment to help our future
-I love life, and I love living. I'm hoping getting in shape will make me love both even more so.

Hey Luke thanks for the add. speaking of environment do you know about The Venus Project!?! it takes taking things to a new level, to a whole new level.
check out the book called the gabriel method, and p90x WORKS if you are ready for intense, painful, yet wonderful workouts. sparkpeople rocks so stick with it!

Oh wow, that's awesome! What do you want to do with the degree?

And yeah, I'm pretty excited. I got into this research program for the humanities where I can study post-war slavic countries and all that boring garbage. But I'm pretty excited about it, lol.
