I just read your blog! So glad to read your running again. I recently had surgery on my foot. I have been off spark for a while. I'm working my way back as well. I'm at a maintenance of 6 miles. I think coming back is harder than maintaining or building the first time around. Knowing what you could do and having to hold back....
I started a team with buckeyegal - Daily Mile sparkers, I sent you an invite via spark mail. I hope to see you there, encouraging me as before!
I just saw your last blog. I, too, have been plagued with injuries--it is SO hard. So I keep asking myself, 'what would a positive, goal oriented person who wouldn't let this get them down do?' How would that person react to this injury? How would that person, someone SO awesome, tell themselves to keep on keeping on?
Then I try to do it. I act as if I'm that person.
Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't.
But when I did not employ this method, I just swam around in my own negativity and let it run rampant.
Don't know if that helps, but I feel your pain. I haven't been able to run since May!!!. But finally just got the OK to try again.
