Greybeard, As we age, we lose muscle mass every year, unless we take steps to stop it. The best book that I have read addressing this problem and regaining the energy of our youth is Younger Next Year by Chris Crowley (age 70) and Henry Lodge, M.D. (age 45). It is a comprehensive book about managing and reversing all of the, so called "normal" decline of aging. it is well written and inspiring. I am 60 and my wife is 61 and it has reaffirmed our exercise and dietary lifestyle changes. It approaches it from all aspects of our lives and gives great advice in all of them. Good luck in reaching your goals.
