My goal is to weigh less than 155 pounds. I'd like to run a 5K this December and eventually, I'd love to run a marathon. I have several friends who have inspired me to try and I keep this in mind every day but so far, I'll settle for walking a 5K.
My program is Medifast (depending on how well I stay on plan).
I am a nurse in the hot American Southwest. Working nights, I take care of new moms and babies and they are part of my inspiration. I teach young (and some not-so-young) moms how to care for themselves and realized that I was NOT taking care of me. So, I'm all sparked up and teaching me to take care of me and it feels GREAT!! I love computers and games (I'm a pro at Plants vs. Zombies!), love my backyard (although not in the summer), and love reading, photography and traveling. I have one son, married to a wonderful man and still have no grandkids (are you listening CJ???)
I am reading all of the books (one at a time) in my study that I bought over the years.
Hi...there's been 'talk' from a Sparker Seemaine, who mentioned about meeting Sparkers from Tucson and Phoenix area...but I haven't heard any dates...of course I will let you know if that materializes. Now that the weather is cooler, we could set up something to meet for a walk. I am retired and can meet anytime. The cooler the better for me...LOL We'll keep in touch! Jo Ann

Thank you so much for you kind words in my blog. I am glad to hear that my story has helped you in any way. It is my intention when I write and share my thoughts and struggles that others see they're not the only ones and that we have to push through even in the hardest times. It is not an easy thing to do to push through when the negativity in our heads is in control. We are our own worst enemy.
