Happiness through healthfulness!

Hello! I'm 29 years old, living in Dallas, and overweight. I've been too heavy for over a decade now and I'm finally ready to be healthy for the first time in my adult life!

In May my fiance and I began working out four mornings a week. He is very fit - just lifts weights to help his energy level and sleep habits. He does not have any weight loss goals but is a constant source of support and encouragement for me.

I do Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper circuit training with free weights for 25-35 minutes. Right now these videos are TOUGH for me to get through!

I have noticed improvements in my endurance and ability to do exercises correctly or without modification, but so far I haven't "lost weight." I just keep watching my calories and make sure what I eat is nutritious.

Happy to be on Spark for the motivation and useful tips.

Just stopping by to say to say "hi". I hope things are going well for you. I haven't seen you around.
I have lost 26 pounds so far. I haven't eaten to well this weekend. I need to get back on track. I am still struggling to get the exercise in as a regular part of life

Thanks for stopping by and the translation! Funny that that's what the goal of the challenge is since when I did the Biathlon on Saturday the easiest thing for me to wear would have been tri shorts and sports bra and then run and then do the ocean swim with little transition. But I'm not baring my belly! I wore my (one piece speedo) swimsuit over my sports bra and light shorts for running and pulled the shorts off when I took off my shoes for the swim. And I'm sure I'm not going to be comfortable baring the belly for the triathlon on 8/7 either. EEEEEKK! I'll have to check out this DVD - although I think my almost 46 year old belly that has held 2 babies and had 2 C-sections plus another abdominal surgery should just stay under wraps. Sigh.

Aw, Lisa - You're so sweet. I really didn't do awesome in the challenge this week. In fact, I think I only logged 2 days. :/ But thank you for the encouragement!

This next week will be SO much better. :)
