Reaching my GOAL

I want to reach a goal of a better me. I want to feel comfortable in my clothes or when my husband sees me. I want to be healthy. I don't want people to wonder if I am pregnant, or ask when I am due.

About one year ago, a really big lady at Costco asked when I was due & I started crying. At that time I got on the computer & logged into My Fitness Pal. in one year I dropped 25 pounds. This was better gor me because I have been Type one diabetic for 28 years now. Weight loss was the key for me.....

emoticon Happy SECOND SPARKVERSARY emoticon

What an accomplishment, since most who joined when you did have long since quit and have not had the fantastic results you have had by staying with this! Bless your heart. emoticon It is just wonderful to see that tracker of yours going for that goal. emoticon

I know this THIRD year will be even better with more goals and challenges for you to achieve! emoticon

Green...I really feel your pain. I started with Spark back in Feb 2006. I didn't follow it at all and reached a high weight at Christmas of 223.5. I decided in January to set a goal for myself to lose ONE pound per week during the new year. I thought that was attainable and reasonable. It's been challenging at times, tough at times, but it has been worth it. I have had to change from the INSIDE out. I had to change my thinking...my thinking about myself (I was VERY hard on myself) I decided I wouldn't talk to my friends in the way I talked to myself, so my negative thoughts needed to go. I still struggle....a LOT some days, but little by little it's getting easier. Hang in there, and let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Hi and Welcome to the Gardening Team.

I understand your weariness with the heat. I live in the southeast, and we've had several days, within the past two weeks, of 100+ degree temperatures. Our gardens, yards and pastures are all dried up... As gardemers. though we continue on and hope for better conditions next year.

I hope you'll come by our Team Page, check out the first "sticky" and make yourself at home. We'll be looking for you!

Donna
