Well I ran my 5k and a 10k and lost a total of 53lbs! After another brilliant year where I bought a house, gained an allotment and a garden and began learning Ashtanga yoga but let my diet and running slip I've put on 23lbs. Hi my name is Sam
I joined Spark people in Nov 2012 to try and shed 50 pounds that I've picked up over the last few years. I lead a fairly healthy lifestyle but changes from a retail to a desk job and getting married to a less active partner allowed the pounds to creep on. I want to realign my life to a more healthy setting rather than focus on the weight alone because once it's off I want to keep it off!
Now it's time to rediscover the real me under all those layers!

My Goals:
Mainly to reach a healthy weight - so to loose 50 lbs *** achieved*** but after a lapse I've added 23 lbs. My new goal is to lose 43lbs and get down to 120lbs.

To work exercise into my daily routine and make it a habit so I can keep the weight off.

To run 5k as I've never been able to run before and it would be a huge achievement. ***achieved***

New goals for 2015

Lose 43 lbs and get down to 120lbs.

Run at least 3 times a week.

Yoga practice at least 3 times a week.


My Program:
Making the majority of my meals at home from scratch so I know exactly what's in them and eating between 1200 and 1550 calories a day.

Run at least 3 times a week.

Yoga practice at least 3 times a week.

My name is Sam and I live with my husband in the seaside town of Bournemouth on the south coast of England.
