My Goals:
To wake up every morning and go from there

My Program:
 Lost 100+ pounds in 1967--have put back 30 pounds since an aorta valve replacement operation and so, of course, I blame giving up smoking and medicines for 29 of the 30 pounds! LOL
Going slow by choice and knowing it is the best way--I now have 12 pounds to lose to get to my second goal.

Personal Information:
Born in the Bronx--came out in 1948 when I was 12--was in Marines (that's a whole story!)--lived in Hollywood California, Miami Beach, back to Manhattan, 10 years in Memphis with Weight Watchers and Our Weigh--moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1979 and have lived happily ever after

 In 1984 after 4 lovers including the love of my life I decided to live alone--I LOVE IT--though I love alone I am far from lonely besides when I cheat on that ice cream I don't have to share!

Hi Martin,

Just read your blog and felt your youthful energy and was curious to know more about this person who has found the secret to keeping himself young at heart. Well I read your page and my interest was peaked more to learn more about you finding the key to happiness.

Also, wondered what you have written and what it takes to write a book. I have been in a very large fire 3/23/10 and I am still out of my house. It has been sort of a journey to the outer limits.

Dealing with the Insurance company I was shocked at the sub culture. I equate the experience to me being the insect that finds herself entering the spiders web and is forced to stay there due to the circumstances and the insurance company and the sub culture, the people who are suppose to help you, eat off you and your metal is really tested as to who you are and if you can get out alive. Then they throw you out to the world of the builders who prey on homeowners it has not been a dull journey to say the least..lol

Anyway that is my journey at the moment not complaining but mentioned it to pose a question.....I have been told to write a book of what has happened to me....Iam not a writer but the idea charms me to possibly help someone not get beat up like me because I thought I had rights but did not...lol I would like to see something good come out of something that was bad so I can look back on the experience as something bad that gave birth to something good...lol....crazy huh?

Anyway it sounds to me your forte is being a damn good critic so if your so inclined to comment I would be all ears. I truly look up and admire someone with your background and accomplishments. Also, if you on this site you must be like me someone who loves life and people despite the down side......lol

By the way I too was born in the Bronx, kind of missed the way it was so many years ago, worked in Manhattan many years, only visited California and find Sarasota, Florida (Venice) charming. So like you love to travel. Please take a moment to share with a newbie.

Also, contrats on losing and maintaining that weight. I allowed food to comfort me in bad situations but I am going to remedy that situation now and get back to the wonderful temple god gave me. Loved chatting hope your so inclined to respond now that that your in the catching up mode..lol.
