Once upon a time I was an active person that lived and worked and played outside. Then I sat upon my duff at an office job and gained 40 pounds. In shock and horror and in the profound enthusiasm of youth, I lost those 40 pounds and regained my active lifestyle.

Then the good and the bad hit all at once. In about 2 year's time - I got a promotion and moved, my new office was (literally) on top of a Subway, a donut shop, and Baskin Robbins, I got married, I got pregnant, I ...
Once upon a time I was an active person that lived and worked and played outside. Then I sat upon my duff at an office job and gained 40 pounds. In shock and horror and in the profound enthusiasm of youth, I lost those 40 pounds and regained my active lifestyle.

Then the good and the bad hit all at once. In about 2 year's time - I got a promotion and moved, my new office was (literally) on top of a Subway, a donut shop, and Baskin Robbins, I got married, I got pregnant, I developed a chronic and life threatening disease, and I got pregnant again.

After those two years I was packing all the weight I'd lost and a bunch more. It's been over 10 years since then. A few years ago I lost 35 pounds and I regained 15 of it last year when I developed some more health problems.

For my health and because I want to live to a ripe old age to see these scamps of mine grow up into the great young men they promise to be, I want and need to loose the rest of this weight.

My main challenge is that too much exercise and being outside too much can make me quite ill so I must do everything in moderation.

I'm hoping that the support I find on this group along with the other things I'm doing - Weight Watchers, a supportive group of friends at work, and regular exercise classes at the YMCA will help me to stay on track.

My Goals:
My current goal is to track what I eat using Spark People Nutrition Tracker.

Exercise on average for 30 min a day

My Program:
I attend Weight Watchers meetings but I have been tracking my calories on SparkPeople lately. I find the personal support of WW to be very helpful.

I strive to exercise 7 days a week but usually make 4-5 days. I do yoga 1-2 times a week.

Other Information:
Love to read, travel, crochet, quilt, scrapbook, cook, and hang out with my boys and hubby. My favorite exercises are yoga and disc golf.

I hope your dad will be doing better soon. I know how hard it is to take care of kids and parents. I've been there.

Thanks again for your comment. Well, let me just say I prefer the treadmill to the elliptical. I have been trying some different things to break up my routine. When I am in the mood I start on the elliptical until I don't think I can do another second, and then get on the treadmill to complete my hour. I have slowed down a little, and have not been too faithful to SP, but have now lost 47 pounds!! Yeah. I am hoping to lose another 4 before the Prospect Jamboree and Timber Carnival in 3 weeks.
