A new year, a new me!

I just turned 65, I started life as a skinny kid and stayed there until my 20's. Some asthma and some steroids sent me on my way to a lifetime of yoyo weights, each time higher than the last. I have settled in the low 180's, dipping down into the 170's for occasions and then bouncing back up.
I am retired, married for 45 years, a daughter, son in law, 3 acquisitions age 13, 18 and 21, and a handsome two year old grandson. I also have a son and daughter in law. All of this happened in the ...

I am retired, married for 45 years, a daughter, son in law, 3 acquisitions age 13, 18 and 21, and a handsome two year old grandson. I also have a son and daughter in law. All of this happened in the last 4 years, before that it was just the four of us and my sister, family wise.
I volunteer for hospice, the local library and all kinds of sporting events, 5K's, marathons, tri's. I have done many 5K's and 5 half marathons. I have signed up for my 6th this April, the Diva's Half in North Myrtle Beach. Our local gym is sponsoring a preparation program that starts Monday January 6. Group walk/runs, nutrition info and training sessions will keep me focused.
The holidays kicked my butt this year, I need to get back on track.

Thanks for the goodie and your comments. I did have my nutrition tracker open for awhile but got tired of well meaning people's comments when they had no idea that the majority of the time I was following the advice of my doctor who was having me try different things every few weeks to see what I might respond to. One night my son and his family were visiting from out of state and we took them out to dinner, I diligently and truthfully filled in my nutrition tracker showing the steak dinner I'd had at the restaurant and you wouldn't believe the number of negative comments and SparkMail's I got telling me how, obviously, I couldn't lose weight if I ate like that!
