My dear hubby of 36 years and me
So--a little about me: i am a 61 year old wife, mother, grandmother. I work full time as a shift supervisor at a chain drug store. My hubby of 41 years and I share our home with our 9 cats (yeah, we are crazy cat people..but in all fairness 3 of the cats belong to our daughter who lives with us).
About 15 years ago, I found myself weighing 220. I stumbled upon a popular faith based hunger fullness weight loss plan, and a friend and I decided to start a class in our church. I lost 45 pounds and she lost 60. We discovered some doctrinal errors in the teachings and dropped the classes (although our group is still meeting for Bible study every Thursday night). I gained back 25 pounds within a year. I then decided to purchase 6 Week Bodymakeover and lost 35 pounds using it. I eventually tired of the restrictive food plans, though, and drifted my way back up to 190. i have been trying this and that for the past 2 years, never really sticking with anything (I think I wanted my cake and to eat it too. LOL).
Last year my sister lost 45 pounds and started exercising despite her fibromylagia. Being that she is 3 years younger than me, I realized that I need to stop procrastinating and start doing! Now! I am here for accountability and inspiration.
My goal is to lose 40 pounds, 5 pounds at a time and to increase my fitness through walking/jogging (usually with Leslie Sansone) and using light hand weights.
I've "dieted" before, but am now going to eat healthy and as clean as possible, with an occasional treat. By logging my food I plan to stay in my range and not overeat.
For fitness I am using Leslie Sansone at least 3 days a week, p;us logging my steps at work (usually 3+ miles a day).
My husband of almost 42 years and I live in upstate NY (the REAL upstate..not just north of NYC;) ). We are parents of 3 grown sons and one daughter. Blessed by 6 wonderful grandchildren! Our daughter still lives with us and we enjoy her company very much.
We are also parents to 9 furbabies (or the kids in the furry pajamas, as my husband likes to call them). We love them all (Dutchess, Xander, Mocha, Sasha, Mysty, Surt, Isis, Abby, Vivi (did I get them all?)
I love the Lord, and am trusting Him to help me in this journey to improve on the temple He gave me.

Hello! I'm on the Christian Women Over Fifty team. I have two cats and can't imagine having nine. My girls, 10 and 12, love them! I was on Sparks a few years ago, but came back with serious intent in December. Although I would like to lose weight, being healthy is my first aim. Hoping you are able to meet your goals!

Wow!, I am so blessed to have so many wonderful friends. Not going to post much today. I feel like I have been hit by a truck, coughing and body aches. I hardly ever get sick, but both my husband and I have it. I'm supposed to work today but I think I will call the doctor. Not sure if this is flu or whatever, but I think I should get it checked out. I actually walked over 5 miles at work yesterday, despite feeling horrible. Plus I mopped half of out huge store! I am a shift stop supervisor at Rite Aid.
