I want to RUN
Being in my early 60's, the weight doesn't come off easily. I know I need to exercise more and cut out junk food. Sometimes it's easy to exercise - I have time and motivation. Other times, I find it hard to even get off the couch or I'm so busy that a half hour isn't easy to find or I have someone visiting from out of town so don't want to give up time spent with them. There's always excuses but I need to step up and loose this weight. I'm not happy with myself and my clothes don't fit ...
Being in my early 60's, the weight doesn't come off easily. I know I need to exercise more and cut out junk food. Sometimes it's easy to exercise - I have time and motivation. Other times, I find it hard to even get off the couch or I'm so busy that a half hour isn't easy to find or I have someone visiting from out of town so don't want to give up time spent with them. There's always excuses but I need to step up and loose this weight. I'm not happy with myself and my clothes don't fit right. I'm not consistent with exercise and diet, so I'm hoping to find the support I need here to meet my goals. I want to do the 50 state HM. I've done 5 (PA, AZ, FL, Washington DC and TX). However, I had to walk most of each and want to be able to RUN all of the HM. That's my goal and is near the top of my "bucket list".

My Goals:
My new winter/spring goals: I have slacked off exercising and, as a consequence, have gained weight back and am not as toned. I NEED to get back to feeling healthy. - stay within my calorie range - drink more water - exercise 6 out of 7 days (I'm going to try for 7 but I have to be realistic) - loose 5 lbs - Take vitamins every day - ST at least 1 day a week RUN, RUN, RUN a 10K. I can walk/run it now but I want to be able to RUN the whole thing. Additional goals for the winter/spring - Run 5 miles without walking - Run a 10k - Run 10 miles - Prepare for a HM in the spring. I CAN DO THIS!!!

- drinking water - trying to cut out junk food - doing more exercise
Personal Information:
I live in central NY, which is beautiful, especially in the summer. I have 3 adorable grandchildren that I see frequently. This is the reason I don't move someplace with better weather. I work full time and volunteer in my community. I was a foster parent for several years but have finally decided I need time to myself.
