You are right, Emily about nest year 3.1415! That's how the whole thing got started for us. Someone told us that! We were into words rather than numbers...but we're hooked now!! Hey, will you be at the NH gathering on June 28? Hope so!! Blessings, Nellie

Thank you so much for visiting and commenting on my blog. I appreciate the encouragement and support.

I spoke to this incredible lady later this morning and worked out a tentative deal. Hopefully we will be in contact fairly often in the future. I also told her how inspired I was by her, and she was at first a bit startled to hear it, but then warmed up to it as soon as I started talking about all her hard work, her fine flock and how well cared-for they are. I think she came away feeling encouraged by what I had to say to her, and I came away feeling good about having the opportunity to applaud her efforts at such a fine job as she's done. It's also an honor to meet a truly strong and independent soul.

Thanks again. Hope to see you on my blog again sometime.

I was so upset when I found out that I was being readmitted due to the blood clot. I knew that there was a possibility of blood clots but thought that since I had been getting the shots and that I would be all right in that regard. Little did I know. I have seen my regular doctor and a blood specialist since being here this time. I talked with the blood specialist about the tightness and discomfort I was feeling in my leg while in the Acute Rehabilitation unit before going home. He thinks that even though I was getting the shots to prevent the blood clots that it may have already been forming in my leg before I even went home. Then add the therapy packets that mostly worked my legs that kept irritation the leg so that is why I ended up back in the hospital. I guess this is not uncommon to happen when someone has been bedridden like I was while I was in the CU unit and Step down after getting moved out of the ICU. I am hoping and praying that when I do get out this time that I stay home and not end back up in the hospital again.

One additional advantage of this stay is that I have found out that I may be able to get off one of the blood pressure meds that they put me on with the last visit. Most of the time my top number with my blood pressure has been less that 130 so we have been holding that one most of the time. I think I have taken it once or twice since being here this time. Because of that I guess we well be picking up a blood pressure cuff on the way home so I can be checking my blood pressure before taking that blood pressure before taking that one pill as I can't see taking it if I really don't need it.

Thank you again
