What do they mean when they say I need to thin my seedlings? Also, I'm thinking about transplanting my sunflowers into containers. How big should I get them. I've got mammoth and russian and skyscraper sunflower seedlings right now that look like they want to escape the peat pots that I started them in. I'll post some pics.

Hope you're having a great day today!!

Guess what! My seeds have sprouted. I don't think I've ever had anything grow from seeds before. My geranium cuttings on the other hand aren't doing too good. Even though I put root stimulator ont he bottoms. I have a tomato cutting that I'm experimenting with because I was unsure if tomatos can even grow from a cutting.

This weekend i'm definatley going to try to get some reading. Happy Friday!!!!!

    Good morning,

Thanks for the tips. I'm out to get some soil today ;) I get so excited about gardening but it seems everything i touch dies (I guess the opposite of the golden touch). I might invest in a farmer's almanac and some other reading material to make sure that I'm raising my plants the best way.

    Thanks again. You're the best!
