ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE~~~

I am here to reclaim my health and undo the damage years of careless overeating and being a couch potato has done to me.
I have been with Sparks for five months. I started out strong, but
due to family crisis and conflict, I let myself fall back into old
habits. There is no better time than today to begin.
My first goal is to lose 50 pounds. I need to lose another 50 or so
after that, so this is a long haul commitment.

I am a born again Christian and do believe that the Holy Spirit inspired my friend to send me this site. Praise God.
For each step I take toward a healthier me, all honor, glory, and
praise goes to our Lord.
I have had a bit of a set back. Fallen off the wagon one could say.
Today is the first day of my wake up call. I can not solve all
problems today, but bit by bit I will work through reclaiming
my fire to be more healthy and less stressed. I know now I am
an emotional eater. Happy or sad or stressed.
Love being able to vent and share with all SP friends. I praise and
thank our Father God for each and everyone of you.

My Goals:
Lose weight and regain energy. Be a blessing to my family and friends and not a liability...
Set an example for a healthy
life style for my grandkids and my friends.
Make this journey a fun, exciting, ongoing adventure.
Overcome this emotional
eating syndrome.

My Program:
tracking my calories and
exercising everyday.
Staying between 1200-1550 calories daily.
Maintain a food journal.
Follow my SP suggested
cardio and fitness plan.
Forgive myself when I have a "bad choice" moment.
Make the "U" turn and get back on track.
Know that these times will happen, but they don't rule me.
Educating myself regarding
good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle.

Personal Information:
I have always lived in a small
town just southwest of
Chicago.
Retired from the USPS about seven years ago.
I did so to help my daughter and son-in-law as child
care help. What a blessing
for me to have such a close
bond with my three darlings.
They are older now but I still fill in on those unique times.

Other Information:
Reading is one of my loves. ( I enjoy almost anything, but lean towards Christian based novels,I love mysteries, reading my Bible, and anything about travel. )
I crochet and do some quilting. Working in the garden is relaxation for me.
I also find satisfaction doing volunteer work at church and at the food pantry and shelter. In the summer, I love to swim and spend as much time outdoors as possible.. Going on
"day trip" to points of interest around Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin are also part of my summer and fall activities.
I love being a Grandma and spend as much time with my twin granddaughters and grandson as God will allow.
I am an avid animal lover and the proud "Grandma" to three
adorable dogs. I also claim that title to a Russian tortoise, and two precious hamsters. My life has always been surrounded by animals (both furry and feathered).
Faith, family, and friends are very important to me.
Love my Lord first, then my family , then

A Poem of Hope
by Helena Fehr

I feel the arms of God around me,
as I lay on my bed at night.
Asleep, I feel the Angel's touch-
I'm surrounded and held tight.

Hello! The sun is shinning here and the small garden is growing I have my first small little green tomato. God bless you! Love and prayers Jenny emoticon emoticon

This Bible passage has been such a blessing for me and I wanted to share it with you!

Isaiah 40 :28Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
29He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
30Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. K.J.V. Inpublic domain.

Dear Friend, Hope all is well with you and your family! So many hurting from the storms and floods! May you be blessed! Love and prayers Jenny

May the Lord wrap you in his tender care and keep you safe. I love this passage form the Bible: Proverbs 3:5-6

5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
