I am beginning Dr. Pamela Peeke's hunger fix program. It starts with a detox period then moves onto a 2nd stage for getting healthier. Am a little nervous, but need something besides a diet plan. Need to get healthy for life.

Hi ~ Just saw your comment about "The Hunger Fix" over on the message boards, and I wondered how you are doing on it. I am about halfway through the book, and to be totally honest, the prospect of detox and giving up those "false fixes" frightens me a little. How are you doing on the program?

You can do it. Just take it one day at a time. Good luck!

I used to have trigger foods, especially wheat (breads and crackers) but since I started working out, food doesn't seem to have the hold it once did. For one thing, I allow myself to have whatever I want, so there is no 'forbidden food' to tempt me. After working out though, I seem to crave proteins and healthy food, not junk. I keep my drawer at work filled with low fat chips, chocolate bars, whoppers and other junk food. I have yet to break into it, though I will if I have a craving. I also keep peanut butter in there and tuna packets. Keep healthy food handy!
