Want to get healthier and more active for my seven grandchildren (ages 2 mos-5 years). Lots of changes in life as I have gone back to school for an RN degree and, hopefully, a Master's Degree. Now is the time to get my life in balance, and that includes my health and fitness!

Finish reading the Spark by August 1, 2012 (revised).

Get LPN degree by May, 2012. (Done!) License granted Aug. 3!

Get ADN (RN) degree by May, 2013. (Done!)

My Program:
Challenge: Lose 10 pounds per month to reach goal of 124 by January 22, 2014.

Action Steps:
1. Eat healthy meals & snacks including 3-5 veggies & fruits daily, 1200-1400 calories.
2. Drink 8 glasses of water daily.
3. Cardio: 30 minutes per day.
4. Strength training 3 x per week, 30 min. M-W-F; Sundays my choice or rest.
5. Be accountable, post daily to spark, blog progress weekly.

Result: Back to Me! Fit, Trim, Healthy & Happy!

Personal Information:
I love to garden - vegetable and flower. Summer is my favorite time of year. I am a grandmother to 6 and 1 on the way - LOVE being grandma.

I wanted to offer my congratulations on your new job! How wonderful for you! I'm sure your family is thrilled that you'll be living more normal hours. Your body is going to love the change too. I wanted to make sure you know about our Fox Cities Team Halloween trail walk scheduled for Oct. 19th at 2 PM leaving from the shelter house at Peabody Park for a walk along the trail by the Fox River leading back to the old Riverside Cemetery. Along the way we'll see Kate Blood's grave as well as the many shrines along the river. We'll climb a bit of an incline to get up into the currently used cemetery and then head back down to the park. It should be a good workout for us and a fun time to get to know other team members. I hope you can join us! emoticon emoticon
