Healthy is Happy

I'll be sixty soon and I finally realize how important it is to be healthy over wanting to just look good..this program has the same goals as I do. I want to be able to enjoy life for as long as I have on this earth.

HI Grace,
As for the Spark's being over whelming I can say your right.

Let's see If I can steer you in the right direction here.

As for the team...what you can do is go to the team under "Health and Wellness Forum"area from there go to "Way's To Fit In Fitness" And click on this area...click on REPLY BUTTON and add your posting...type what you'd like to say/tell us and click POST MESSAGE.
And you can do this with any of the post on the team....
There is also a post called the "Waterhole April 2012" go to this to just tell us about what even it is you'd like to....read over some of the other post just to get an idea of what others have said...and go with the flow.
There is also "April Two week challenge"scroll down to the bottom of this and read what it say about it then decided what's you'd like to do for your part.

Need more help just post click the button that's at the bottom of the page that say's reply on my spark page & it come right to me.
Or you can go right to my SP, or spmail me.
Hope i'm not over whelming you with all this.

Hey GRACIE144! Welcome emoticon ! I just wanna say that I too am new to Sparks! Its been a couple days and so far, I'm loving all the valuable tools here and all the great motivational items and like you, I too know how it is to work hard and never get anywhere when it comes to weightloss. I've tried many fad diets & even the so-called diet pills and nothing seemed to ever work. And if it did, I would lose maybe 20-30 pounds, stop, and it not time flat, put it back on and then some. And yes! I'm from the South, and I grew up with my granny's homemade buttermilk biscuits made with lard and scratch gravy with everything fried and cooked in grease or fat drippings. So yes! It is a challenge but I know that whatever I put my mind to, I can do it, and so can you. Try not to focus on the road ahead and what it will take to get there, look at what you have already accomplished: losing 23 pounds, getting great results with your bloodwork, and being able to hold your ground in the face of cake & icecream. I give kudos to you! emoticon I love to view the Success Stories, they always give me a glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel.
