The Path Forward

A gardener, philosopher, writer, reader, dreamer, animal and pet lover, friend, optimist, philanthropist, do-gooder, designer, artist, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. I am determined to move toward continued good health and the energy to enjoy it with a few less pounds.

I have spinal compression from the accident that minorly limits me. I have trick knees and foot problems - but I stay as active as I can.

I love to garden and that gives me plenty to do at this time of year. I ride my bike, try to walk 10,000 steps a day and love cardio dancing and short (10 minutes or so) workout videos. I try to read one book every week or so. I'm a good cook and am having fun creating new recipes for the Fast Metabolism diet phases.

In Irish Gaelic "Thank you very much," is written "Go raibh m�le maith agat" and is pronounced gurrah meel-ah mah hahgut. I am told the actual translation is: "May you have a thousand kindnesses."
So, I wish you Go raibh m�le maith agat!!

My Goals:
Intention is to remove the excess and unwanted pounds that slowly crept in after I hit age 40 by doing it wisely and properly, so they stay gone!

My Program:
TEDDY BEAR TEAM in the 2015 Summer 5% Challenge
Exercise Commitment
*Strength Training Mon/Wed/Fri 20 minutes
*Cardio dancing Mon-Fri 15 to 20 minutes daily
*Walking and yardwork and housework on weekends
* At least one ten (10) minute exercise video per day

Eat per Full Plate Diet, get exercise, TRACK food honestly and consistently and drink plenty of water that IS NOT in bottles that pollute the earth.

And a happy healthy Wednesday back to you my friend! Hope things are perking along on your 5% Challenge. I lost 5.5 quite quickly on my 5 day RAW detox but last week remained the same. I'm not sure how this week will end up. I feel like it is SUCH a constant struggle...ughhh!

On a brighter note, DH and I are alternating days at the consignment gallery so it ends up I go in either 2 days per week or 3. This works out perfectly as long as he doesn't have a construction job to work on..then I have to cover for him while he is out in the field. That puts me there every day. I don't mind if we are super busy but as you know FL in the summer is SLOWS~VILLE!

Gosh...I wish I were truly retired and could just volunteer somewhere where and when I felt like it.

We'd love to move to the mountains and just scale down to simple, simple, simple so I could fully concentrate on writing my book and do my jewelry full time. DH loves to do wood working. We could do the markets in the summertime although that economy is no where as strong as our FL market is...so I'm doubtful we could live on it.

Our social security is pretty dismal since we have been self employed for so long and DH was a firefighter for so many years. They didn't deduct social security on city employees which seems pretty incredible.

Anyhow we do the best we can and take it one day at a time, I guess that's all any of us can really can.
