A gardener, philosopher, writer, reader, dreamer, animal and pet lover, friend, optimist, philanthropist, do-gooder, designer, artist, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. I am determined to move toward continued good health and the energy to enjoy it with a few less pounds.

I have some physical limitations - As a passenger in a car accident when I was 25 I sustained permanent nerve damage that leaves me with about 20% of the use of my left arm and I was born left handed. I have spinal compression from the accident that minorly limits me. I have trick knees and foot problems - but I stay as active as I can.

I love to garden and that gives me plenty to do at this time of year. I ride my bike, try to walk 10,000 steps a day and love cardio dancing and short (10 minutes or so) workout videos. I try to read one book every week or so. I'm a good cook and am having fun creating new recipes for the Fast Metabolism diet phases.

In Irish Gaelic "Thank you very much," is written "Go raibh míle maith agat" and is pronounced gurrah meel-ah mah hahgut. I am told the actual translation is: "May you have a thousand kindnesses."
So, I wish you Go raibh míle maith agat!!

I don't give up, but there are days when I curl up and need to be by myself. Therefore a quiet day, not real productive lol. But that is how I am, and I can live with it. Hope you have a good week. It is supposed to get over 100 here by Wed., so we will be swimming!

Thanks sweet friend for your wonderful and savvy advise (once again and always) emoticon You are so right about so many things! I have a hard time accepting things I don't understand and believe me I've tried EVERYTHING I could possibly come up with over these many LONG years to figure out why these two are so bitter and unaccepting. I guess it will always be one of life's great mysteries. I was so excited at the prospect of having a sister since I have no siblings and to be shut out at the starting gate has just been a staggering disappointment to me.

But I do know that at this point in time it is what it is and I can't worry about the who, why, what or where. I just have to dodge the bullets of jealousy and bitterness and hope we come out alive.

Gosh you hear about so many people just going 'off' these days I'm really uncomfortable in their home. It's crazy to feel unsafe around 'so called family' isn't it?

But I'll take it one day at a time and hope DH will be safe when he's in the lion's den alone...I just can't allow myself to be in that negativity too much...I feel like it swallows me whole!

I'm doing lots of praying and asking our Josher to intercede and spread his angel love....hope you are well and doing good this summer. Has it been unusually hot your way...today was such a scorcher when we went out to get in the car the leather on the steering wheel was so hot you couldn't hold onto it. Not to mention the leather seats....yikes...I don't ever remember this kind of heat for so many days in a row. SO happy we got the A/C installed in the consignment gallery...our furniture would surely be melting this year! emoticon emoticon

We were going to put sod down in our front yard after we finish with our projects in the backyard. However, I read where there might be a fine for "over watering" Not sure if that is for No. California only, or if it will be state wide. I think we did get more rain then No. Calif. in the winter and spring, so we shall see. We were wanting to re-landscape the front yard so we won't have as much grass to water. I guess we will go ahead and take out the plants that have taken over, re-landscape around the trees, then put sod down in the spring. I'm a bit disappointed, but I guess it will save us money this year lol. We don't have a huge front yard, but a decent size yard. Our Veggie garden isn't growing as well as last year. We can't figure out why. I have friends who had a late winter, and they are picking Tomatoes left and right already. Things that make you go hmmmm. Have a good Sunday. emoticon
