I do a variety of things. I have a pretty active job but still exercise at home.
I have a small set of hand weights, just 5 pounds that I use while sitting and watching TV. I can do some reps of arm exercises and not even care. I do them during commercials and use Spark to give me inspiration. They have an exercise tracker that I use to keep me going. Entering my activity every day is a great thing to do.
I got a pedometer and put it on and started tracking my walking. I put it on in the morning and take it off at night. When I figured out my "base" steps, I made goals to increase the steps 200/day/week until I was up to 10,000 a day. It is about an hour and a half of walking if it is all at once but it is not necessary to get the steps all at once.
I'm a little down on my steps as it is cold and slick outside and I'm not a brave soul. I take the dog out on warm days or when the road is dry, but not when it is wet and icy. Those days I take her out in the yard and let her do her business.
I like Leslie Sansone and Denise Austin for walking videos. I add some Spark exercises and change them from week to week to keep life interesting.
Thanks for asking. I need to look at what is going on in my life and add some activity to my life that will increase my fitness level and strengthen my muscles. I've been thinking of it and the holidays are over. No more excuses.

Something that I have always focused on is the fact that when I feel I want to lose weight or change something about myself, I am doing it for ME and for NO ONE ELSE. You are the only person you have to impress and prove yourself to!
My mother raised both my sister and myself entirely on her own and while she tells us now that she often felt very lonely, she had to prove to herself that she could do it - raise us, keep herself healthy, and just keep going!

I just finished DAY 3 - I warmed up with the cardio video from DAY 1 and then continued with the upper body strength training from DAY 3. I am very tired and am looking forward to vegging for the rest of the night.
A little bit of work today makes a huge difference tomorrow.
