Trying to Practice Moderation
I guess you would say that I am lucky. I have never been over-weight according to nutritional (BMI) standards. My parents are both fit and active. However, being in my late 20's (and in a very happy relationship), it has become difficult to maintain my current weight and fitness level. I can tell that my metabolism is changing. Over the past year, (since recovering from a major knee injury) a few pounds have crept on here and there, 10 stubborn pounds to be exact. I have been having difficulty, for the first time in my life, getting rid of the excess weight. I weight more than I ever have. It doesn't make me feel good about myself. I want my self-esteem back. I used to run a little extra and a pound would come right off, but not anymore. I never had to watch what I ate before, but I am coming to understand that I cannot eat everything I want to anymore. I came here for help practicing moderation. I love sweets, but they no longer love me!! I see what a wonderful job people are doing on this site and I am motivated to follow in their footsteps. Thank you for all the help and guidance!!!

My Goals:
I would like to lose a total of 8 pounds and keep them off. I would like to practice moderation when it comes to eating sweets. I would also like to practice more consistency when it comes to going to the gym for weight lifting. I need to go at least 2 mornings a week.
My Program:
I run 4-5 days a week on average (since high school) for 30 minutes to 2 hours depending upon the distance. I usually rock climb 2-3 evenings a week. Gym (weight lifting) 2-4 mornings a week.
