I've fallen and I can't get up!!

After working out 5-6 days a week durin g the summer and monitoring my intake, I didn't loose a pound. Since, I've fallen even harder. I can't find a way back up!!

I'm a 30 year old wife, mom, teacher, and daughter of our King Jesus. I've been around the weight loss mountain too many times and everytime I loose a little, it tracks me back down!! I live in the midst of great food and fat people, so I'm no stranger to gluttony (or diabetes and high cholesterol for that matter). ...

I'm ready to shed these pounds once and for all.

My Goals:
I'm taking it slow this time! My goal is to loose 20 lbs over the next 2-3 months. My exercise goal is 1-1 1/2 hours EVERYDAY except Sunday. My eating plan is to simply "pay more attention"!

My Program:
As for exercise, my family has a gym membership. I'm constantly reminding myself of the cost hoping it will keep me motivated to utilize the service!!

My kids have karate 2 nights a week and fit camp 2 mornings, so I have no excuse for not going to the gym at least 4 days a week. On Saturday, we take them to the pool, so then again, I have workout time. I'm gonna use it!!

As for eating, I have the 6 week body makeover (what a drag), but I haven't been able to stick to it. I'm trying to monitor my eating more closely and carefully assess what I eat, when I eat, and why I eat!! My goal is to up the protein and fiber while decreasing the carbs.

Personal Information:
I've struggled with weight all my life. Basically, it was my comfort since I can remember. When I cried, I got fed. When I fussed, I got fed. Whether happy or sad, Food made it all better!! Now, I'm retraining my mind and body and attempting to replace food with things that are better for my health (exercise, reading, etc.)

How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these.

Other Information:
I love the Lord and all his children. I am a dedicated wife and mother. I enjoy nothing more than spending quality time in the presence of God and with my family. I have so many things to be proud of and so many testimonies about the goodness of God. I'm blessed to be here and to be healthy despite the unhealthy lifestyle I have led.

I am determined to successfully complete this season of my journey and to maintain my success for life...

Goals...

1. Work out 6 days/week 1-1.5 hrs/day

2. Loose 2 lbs./week--177 by next weigh in (7-25-10).

3. NO Eating after 7pm--this is a tough one!!

Ok, its been awhile again since I've been on here! That thing called life! Lol I hope you are still on here? I have been up, down, round and round. I haven't really gained anything since summer, but haven't lost anymore either - just been stuck in a tar pit LOL So I guess I'm starting from square one. I bought Zumba Fitness video game last Friday, and so far I really love it. It doesn't even feel like a workout because you're dancing instead. After about 10 minutes, I can already feel the sweat dripping down my forehead. So I'm hopeful this will keep me interested for awhile. What's the HGC diet? Are there any pills involved? Trust me, I know how you feel...I am at my wits end with this weight loss battle as well. I'm not sure what it will take for it to just "click" for me. I guess we just keep trying until we find what works for us, right? I hope you are doing well and hope to talk to you soon! :-) And Happy New Year! (I know I'm late, but haven't talked to you in soooo long!)

Ok, so here I am...I'm checking my emails and see an email from SparkPeople....you know, the place I was once upon a time so familiar with LOL Well I know its been a long time for me, but I'm thinking maybe I need to try this thing once again....fresh start.

How have you been doing with school? Last we talked, I know you have plenty to handle, juggle and sort through! I hope you are hanging in there :-)
