I'm Back - Again - And Again

Okay, so it's been a while. I'm back to weighing 161, which is about what I weighed in highschool. Not the worst weight I've been at, but definintely not the best. Just about average for me. Anyway, I think it's high time to get back to weighing 145 or less and looking more like my profile pic, which was taken around a year ago.

I'm an off and on Sparkpeople user, and I come back every time now that I need to lose weight, because I know this is what has worked for me in the past. I ...

I'm an off and on Sparkpeople user, and I come back every time now that I need to lose weight, because I know this is what has worked for me in the past. I think it works because tracking, spinning the sparkpeople wheel, reading articles for points, etc. all feels more like a game to me than a weight loss program, and I do love my games (in fact, I'm going to school to become a game designer).

I'll be graduating in May, so I'm going to use that as a deadline to get back to my goal weight of 145. That's essentially what worked when I was here three years ago (when I was graduating with my associates degree). It always feels easier to lose weight when there's a special event to lose it for (maybe because it makes the timeline less flexible).

Howdy and welcome to the Browncoat Team!

We're a kind of laid back bunch that enjoys any and all discussion of Firefly, Serenity, and anything our BDHs are involved in. Or whatever else we decide to talk about! Please nose around and feel free to jump in!

If you would like, please join one or more of our team goals. They are set up to emulate our BDHs - a shiny goal for any of us!

Thank you for taking the time to read and post on my blog. It really means a lot to me. I hope you are having a wonderful Monday. Congratulations on the 6 lbs you have lost already. Isn't it exciting to see that number on the scale get lower and lower? Woohoo! Keep rockin' it girl! Hugs.

Re: Your comment on my vegetarian status. I've been doing some research and a low-carb vegetarian diet does indeed look feasible! I'm giving it a test run for a few days to see how I like it... I'm not going completely vegan (at least not yet) and I'll still have a little bit of dairy and egg. I'm trying this out partially for health reasons, and partially for ethical reasons. I'll write a blog about it at some point, hehe. :)

I try not to focus too much on sizes.....it's just funny to me that while I *think* I'm getting smaller, it COULD just be that the world is getting bigger! emoticon

Have a happy weekend!
