Never Stop Believing

I am 59 years old. Now it is time to get healthy and lose weight.

I enjoy taking my dog Chloe to the dog park daily. We love to walk around the neighborhood too.

Although my profile says I joined August 2011, I really didn't start until June 2012.

7/3/14: It's been 2 years since I started on SP. I'm just 4 pounds away from my goal. It took me longer than expected, but at least I'm almost there. Soon I'll have to post a new goal. This time it will ...

My Goals:
I am going to lose 50 pounds in one year. I began on June 1st 2012.

I also want to eat better and get into much better shape.



My Program:
I walk with my dog every day. She doesn't let me miss a day!

I do weight lifting with Kathy Smith's tape 3 times a week. I do "Abs of Steel" by Tamilee Webb 4-5 times a week. They are really helping me get in shape.
I know a lot of people hate strrength training but I love doing it. I love the way you can still feel it hours later.

I have started the 5K Your Way Walk/Jog Program from SP. Maybe I'll turn into a runner, weirder things have happened!

I love how the nutrition tracker helps to keep me in line.

I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico with my husband of 39 years, my son and my dog.

I wish I had thought of a Day earlier, would have maybe put something together here in Salem. I have got to try and connect to other members in my area and see if we can't unite.
We had may Day celebrations when I went to grade school. Plus my sister had a may birthday and she got to have a May pole a couple of times. Of course i was jealous for my birthday was jus before Christmas and never even got a party. Plus got Christmas and birthday combined presents. I always wanted a summer birthday.
Today is a beautiful day here in Salem for May Day celebrations. Going to reach 88*. Sunny blue skies, just fab.
Oh well guess I'll go out to the park, celebrate with Titan. Might still wear a few flowers in my hair. maybe I can dance around the jungle gym.

OK, I just tracked fitness "Testing SP Settings." I don't see it in my feed. If you don't see it in yours, then we know the answer. On your Feed page, click the "Edit the privacy settings of your Activity Feed" link. The bottom on the list should be Tracking Fitness. Uncheck those two boxes and you should be free from posting every crunch and toe-touch you track on the site!

Good morning! Well, I thought I'd found the spot to stop SP from automatically posting fitness, but now I'm not sure. I unchecked the Fitness Tracking box in the Activity Feed settings, where you choose what you share and what you see from others. I'll have to post some more fitness tracking to see if that worked. If I find the magic key, I'll let you know. Fingers crossed!!
