The Tabata Program
The Tabata workout lasts only four minutes, but is one of the longest four minutes you'll encounter. The structure of the program is:

Workout hard for 20 seconds
Rest for 10 seconds
Complete eight rounds

Sorry Gor - never answered you on your post on my page - just saw it!

Yes my event starts at 0900; warm up at 08:30. I plan on being there by 07:30. so I'm going to make some Tabouleh salad and eat that for breakfast. I'm also planning on loading up (healthy of course) Friday night for dinner. I also plan on bringing a kind bar and banana for a snack.

Yes, my event is backstroke - 100 & 50. I just now received the schedule and my 100 yard Backstroke is Event 5, and the 50YD backstroke is Event 15, so I should be able to recover.

Coach suggested I bring a suit to warm up and then one for each event. I also ordered a swim parka while waiting on deck. I'll bring two caps and two pair of goggles in case...

There's only one other woman my age swimming, however she's not swimming Back :-) The other women in my event range from 58 - 80 and most have been swimming since they were children, so I'm trying not to let it bother me....
