OK, so how's the MO Botanical Garden on July 17 at 9 a.m. sound? We could meet at the Visitor's Center and walk around for 2 hours-there's a 'Health Fair' going on the same day, too! If you're a resident of St. Louis County or St. Louis City, admission is FREE before noon-otherwise it's $8 for adults...the place opens at 9 a.m., so it wouldn't be quite as hot then, but we could do 10 as well...lots to do/see here & plenty of walking exercise & time to get to know fellow STL 'Sparkers'
So wonderful to see you at your SECOND SPARKVERSARY
What are your goals now for your third year? Do you realize that most people who joined when you did have long since quit and resolved to stay fat? Do read "Shrink Yourself" by Roger Gould, M.D. on dealing with stress and how not to regain the pounds. Also, read "The South Beach Diet" by Arthur Agatston, M.D. on Metabolic Syndrome/Insulin Resistance as he explains why belly fat is so awful for us and how to change our metabolism.
I know that you will keep working on your fitness.
Hello djohnson - welcome to the road runners. I see you were part of the Chicago Marathon that will go down in history. How exciting. :-) I also read on your page that you want to set a good example to your kids. A marathon running mom can't help be set a great example. what a great example you are setting. gail
