NO LIME IS AN ISLAND...WE NEED ONE ANOTHER:)
"I'VE GOT WORK TO DO !"
~ANY WAY YOU SLICE IT, LIMES RULE!!!~
HI, WELCOME TO MY SPARK PAGE:)
HELLO FELLOW SPARKERS! JUST LETTING YOU KNOW I AM ON AN INDEFINITE SPARK BREAK. I WILL BE STOPPING BY TO CHECK IN AND SAY HI WHEN I CAN. WISHING YOU ALL HEALTH AND LOVE.
AFTER REACHING ONDERLAND IN THE SUMMER OF 2014, I COULD NOT MAINTAIN LOSING IN THE FALL AND WINTER.
I AM BACK ON TRACK NOW AND AT MY STARTING WEIGHT FROM THEN. I CONTINUE ON WITH RENEWED COURAGE AND BELIEF THAT I CAN AND WILL DO THIS!!!
I'VE BEEN WITH SPARK SINCE THE END OF 2008.
ACTUALLY, I'VE LOST WEIGHT, BUT KEEP GAINING AND LOSING THE SAME 5 POUNDS. I KNOW I COULD OF BEEN AT GOAL ALREADY IF I CONTINUED MOVING FORWARD. I DON'T KNOW WHY I SABATOGED MYSELF AND MAYBE IT DOESN'T MATTER. I WANT TO STOP THIS DEFEATING BEHAVIOUR AND CONTINUE ON MY JOURNEY.
I HAVE LET STRESS EATING SET ME BACK. I WILL OVERCOME THIS AND KEEP GOING. I'M NOT GIVING UP!!!
MY GOAL IS TO LOSE POUNDS UNTIL I FEEL AT A COMFORTABLE WEIGHT...SOMEWHERE NEAR 70 POUNDS.
I LOST 35 POUNDS BEFORE I CAME TO SPARK AND KEPT IT OFF UNTIL THE END OF LAST YEAR. I HAVE GAINED 15 # BACK. I WANT TO CONTINUE MY JOURNEY AND REACH MY GOAL! I WILL LOOK TO MY SPARK FRIENDS TO GIVE ENCOURAGEMENT.
I'M HAPPY TO REPORT THAT I HAVE ENTERED ONDERLAND DURING THE SUMMER BIGGEST LOOSER CHALLENGE. I HAVE LOTS OF WORK TO DO. THIS SUMMER I STARTED AN EXERCISE CLASS AT OUT LOCAL COLLEGE...IT'S JUST WHAT I NEEDED! THE CLASS IS GEARED TO MY FITNESS LEVEL AND I AM SEEING THE RESULTS. I AM SIGNED UP FOR THE FALL TERM ALREADY:) THIS IS GOING TO A GREAT REST OF THE YEAR!!!
I WISH ALL OF YOU MUCH SUCCESS ON YOUR JOURNEY TO HEALTH! FEEL FREE TO SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE, GIVE ENCOURAGEMENT OR JUST SAY HELLO :)
I'VE BORROWED THESE WORDS FROM FELLOW SPARKERS AND NOW SHARE THEM WITH YOU.
Part of abandoning the all-or-nothing mentality is allowing yourself room for setbacks.
We are bound to have lapses on the road to health and wellness, but it is critical that we learn how to handle small failures positively so that we can minimize their long-term destructive effects.
One setback is one setbackit is not the end of the world, nor is it the end of your journey toward a better you."
For each new morning with its light, For rest and shelter of the night, For health and food, for love and friends, For everything Thy goodness sends.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
I'm not made out of glass. Glass breaks easily no matter how careful you are. I'm made out of a finest bamboo. You can bend me, but you can never break me.... Mae Claire Dogillo
"You can do what you want to do, accomplish what you want to accomplish, attain any reasonable objective you may have in mind - not all of a sudden, perhaps not in one swift and sweeping act of achievement - but you can do it gradually, day by day and play by play, if you want to do it, if you work to do it, over a sufficiently long period of time."
--William E. Holler
"All of what you've been through has made you stronger and more capable, in ways that you're not even fully aware of yet. Today you can choose to use that ever-growing strength and ability in the service of your most treasured visions.
Whatever else may be going on, in many important and powerful ways you're the best you've ever been. Grab the opportunity that is today, and make it into something great."
-- Ralph Marston
"Fall seven times, get up eight." - Japanese Proverb
"Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish." - John Quincy Adams
"The gem cannot be polished without friction, nor man perfected without trials." - Chinese Proverb
Before you put any food in your mouth, take three seconds to ask yourself three questions:
"Am I really hungry?"
"Does this item have nutritional value?
"Is this food splurge-worthy?"
Be certain that any extra calories are worth the extra time it will take to burn them off!
Borrowed from a fellow sparker...
"Don't let your mind bully your body into believing it must carry the burden of its worries."
When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hang on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn. ~ Harriet Beecher Stowe
"There are two ways of spreading light:By being the candle or the mirror that reflects it"
"Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world. Harriet Tubman
"What you see is highly interrelated with who you are. You can't go very far in changing your 'seeing' without simultaneously changing your 'being' and vise versa. The way you see the world is a reflection of who you are." ~ Peter M. Shumba
Recall the things that have held you back. And imagine how you now can get beyond them.
Think of the problems that have frustrated you so. And imagine how you can now rise above them.
Look at how far you've come. And imagine how far you can now go.
Think of all that you've learned. And imagine what you can now do with that knowledge.
Consider all you've done in the past year. And imagine what you'll now be able to do.
You're now in a better position than ever to imagine the very best. And what you can imagine will lead to what you can be.
-- Ralph Marston

Thanks for visiting my page and reading my blog. It was more a note to self than something I should have been sharing, but this was my 5th abdominal surgery and I was having to push myself to get moving. Those 19 days in a hospital bed had wasted my muscles pretty bad (again!). I thought maybe putting a plan on a blog like that would shame me into carrying it through. Guess it worked. I'm up to walking a mile and a half a day and doing half an hour of strength training.
PS Thanks for the congrats on winning the decorating challenge for my team.
