Celebrate today's successes, let go of the rest!

Update: I am now 39 y/o and back, humbled by how easy it is to fall off the wagon and not making healthy choices or making my physical heath a priority. I binge eat when anxious...and struggle with an anxiety disorder...so I am here finding new ways to cope, to track the positives & to learn to let go of the negatives.

What I want to learn: Track & celebrate today's successes and let go of any disappointments/set backs and have faith that tomorrow I REALLY WILL do better. ...

I am 37 years old and rebuilding my life, one step at a time. To make a long story short, I gave up on almost every aspect of my life including health. I am now simultaneously learning to balance work, family, friends, education and healthy living into my somewhat chaotic BUT rewarding schedule.

I don't aim for perfection anymore, that was just an excuse to derail. Now I am aiming for consistent effort. I define effort by making the time to exercise and being conscious of what I eat, even if it isn't the best choice in the world.

I have met some fantastic people on this journey and I look forward to meeting new people and learning how to cope with stress and anxiety in new & positive ways.

So anyways I had some more family drama, and as soon as I hung the phone I ate icecream and I FELT better and with all the stress I didn't stop. I gave up responsibility and used food to numb me. And the weight is flying back on and I don't wantt o give up on me. So Ia m struggling back.
