It's not a diet, its a lifestyle change.

My name is Jen and I am 22 years old from good old New York! I have been off the path for a while, but I am back full force. In January 2011 I began this journey at 190lbs and the months
that followed I lost 25lbs. down to 165 pounds
Then I hit a rough patch. My life turned upside down and I turned to my weakness for comfort- Chocolate Cake.

I gained 12 pounds back, so I was 177 pounds. I began running last summer and I started eating perfect. I got down again ...

Then I hit a rough patch. My life turned upside down and I turned to my weakness for comfort- Chocolate Cake.

I gained 12 pounds back, so I was 177 pounds. I began running last summer and I started eating perfect. I got down again to 165. Then I got very sick and I lost my rhythm. Then I went on vacation.... then I started a new job. And I just could not get back in the rhythm.

From May-September 2012 I was at my best. I was working out daily, eating pescetarian and feeling amaizng! I got down to 165 pounds.

Then I got off the track... badly. I got a new job which requires me to sit at a desk for 8 hours a day- and I just gained weight. From eating and eating, and not working out. I am now up to 194 lbs and I can't do this anymore. I loved how I felt last summer when I was at my lowest of 165 pounds.

I am going to get back on track- and do this for me.
A helpful goal is that my best friend is getting married on June 7th 2014- and as a bridesmaid I want to not have to worry about feeling self conscious in her pictures!

My Plan:

Food:
- Eat around 1,200 calories per day
- Stay away from Red Meat (ground beef, steak, etc.)
- Eat 5 small meals a day (Breakfast, Snack I, Lunch, Snack 2, Dinner)

Workout:
Monday: Walk 2-4 Miles
Tuesday: Strength Training (Core/UB/LB)
Wedensday: Walk 2-4 Miles
Thursday: Strength Training
Friday: Walk 2-4 Miles
Saturday: Walk/Cycle 2-4 Miles
Sunday:Strength Training

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I was surprised to lose that much in a weeks time, along with the inches. But I've really been working hard. Hopefully I'll do at least half as good this week.
Hope you're having an awesome Sunday. It's starting to storm here.

Thanks for stopping by the blog this morning! And thank your cousin for his/ her service for me. It's not easy for these guys and gals who keep going, and going, and going. It is so unlike prior conflicts, where everybody went, went for a short time, then came home and resumed life. Over here... the vast majority just keep on living life as though no one was making sacrifices.

Let's use knowledge of that sacrifice to live the best lives we can, and give back!

Thanks for commenting on my blog! Check out the Couch to 5K running program online. It's an easy 9 week running program that I used, and then eventually continued for a 10K! Good luck and let me know how I can help!
