Thanks for stopping by my photo gallery. Now about the tree's Wood Spirit. This was a 150+ year old tree we have in our yard. It got Dutch elm disease and had to be taken down. We just couldn't take her down all the way...so plan A was to have DH make a table top to go around 3/4 of the tree, adding a bench to it. Than our tree trimmer told us about a city worker who did tree carvings. So we contacted him. He brought along an album of all the trees he had carved and we picked out this face to be put on it. He reminded us that it would not look exactly like the photo as he never carves two trees alike. He is a true artist. Carved this is one day using different sizes of chain saws....obviously all free hand. He stained it and we now put linseed oil on it twice a year. Should be able to preserve it for 10+ years. This turns out to be our pride and joy of our yard. Hope things are going well for you an d your plan. I'm still sparking and doing well. Have a great weekend! Hugs! 1365 days ago
Stopping by to say HI!! Still plugging away with my classes. I keep seeing signs this is the right thing to do. Hope your classes are going well. Sorry for the lose of your fur babies. You certainly took very good care of them to live so long.
