1/10/14 - Look at that! I'm on the 10th day of no smoking & no alcohol! I finally realized my insomnia is because of medication & I successfully tweaked it yesterday (10 hours of sleep last night).

I will be starting BLC24 officially on the 15th!!

I have many short term goals to get rid of unhealthy habits :) A 30 year high school reunion (July 2013) is just around the corner as well as hopefully an Air Force boot camp graduation for son #1 (November 2013). I'd love to feel more comfortable in my own skin...even with small changes going in the right direction!

*Getting into the swing of things here...going into week 3 with no smoking and my calorie intake mostly under control ... I'm also getting daily activity! So far August 2013 is all positive.

Labor Day Weekend!!

Thank you for your comment on my blog. I used to live in North Fort Myers and that is where I started raising butterflies. The space is more confined in this retirement community, but I manage to raise seven species and I love them all. I know Bradenton isn't very far away, but I have only passed through it.

"BEAUTIFUL WOMAN AWARD"

You are the recipient of the Beautiful Woman Award!!

Once you've been given this award, you have to paste it on the page of 8 women who deserve it. If you receive more than 3, you know you're really beautiful! If you break the chain, nothing will happen, but it's always good to know someone thinks you're beautiful inside and out!

Again, Congratulations Beautiful! emoticon

Hi, I'm Cynthia and I'm finally getting around to friending my lodge mates.
Sorry it took so long, I was in a daze and still wandering a little, but wanted to say Hi.

Hello Beth, I hope things are going well for you. Hope you are still a smoker in recovery !!! I stopped smoking September 1998.. It took a while before the lighting up habit went the way unhealthy habits should go.

BUT, I know that I am one puff on one cigarette away from being a full time smoker once again. I jokingly say that the only way I could start smoking again is if I knew I only had a few weeks to live. Because there is no way I could afford to buy cigarettes for any great length of time. What one carton costs now I could buy at least 4 cartons back in the day.

I can attest to the fact that as you replace the old habit with new ones, YOU will feel better and miss your old friend the cigarette less and less, and the desire to puff will go away with time, too!

Take care, You are welcome to stop by for a chat anytime.
Audra
