Ready to be FIT & HEALTHY

It has now been more than 5 years since I started living healthy and I'm never going back! I have struggled my entire life with weight issues. It started early and just got progressively worse over the years. I have lost the weight on several occasions only to eventually gain it back. I call it the "Oprah Syndrome" so I guess I'm in good company! Anyway, here I am all these years later. I am determined however to keep this issue under control for once and for all.

I started Weight Watchers in November 2007 and have been faithfully weighing in regularly. I told myself I would attend for at least two years no matter what..., gain or lose. The weight loss was ssssssslow averaging only 3 or so pounds a month but it eventually added up to 80+ pounds off. Along the way I found Spark People and I am so happy I did. It has taken my fitness in particular to a whole new level and provides a dose of daily motivation that I need. I'm exercising more and paying much more attention to my nutrition. The articles are so positive and the community is fabulous. I feel like I finally have tools in hand to be successful for the long term.

Thanks for visiting my page and feel free to stop by anytime. Let's ROCK ~ Spark on! ~

My Goals:
Started Weight Watchers in Nov 2007. It's all about the accountability for me. Reached goal in June 2009 and now a lifetime member. Still would like to lose a few more pounds... Will get there eventually!

My Program:
Weight Watchers Program. On this plan nothing is really off limits. I try to avoid foods that are "triggers" and a problem for me. Everyone has certain foods that they just can't handle sensibly. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE as they will make you feel like a failure when you lose control.

I am currently participating the BLC (Biggest Loser Challenge) and BTS (Beyond the Scale) on Sparkpeople. I'm on the Scarlet Seals and Green Guardian teams and really enjoy all of our virtual interaction.

Work-out Regime

At the gym for 45-60 minutes 5 days a week taking indoor cycling, cardio and strength training classes. I use the Nike Fuel Band to track my everyday movements and working in food service makes a big impact. Also try to run 5k+ three times a week.

Personal Information:
My name is Rhonda. Very blessed to live on the beautiful Oregon Coast.

Other Information:
Love to run, golf, read, bike, hike, travel and spend time with family. In 2011 I did my first Sprint level Triathlon, in 2012 my first half marathon, and completed by first full marathon in 2013... for sure will plan to do more! I am blessed to have a great supportive husband of more than 25+ years ~ a beautiful daughter ~ and an adorable granddaughter who is growing up much too fast!.... oh, and I can't forget Scamp. She is just a great cat.

How are you feeling my beautiful friend. Happy with the results...it's probably a little early to ascertain. I know I felt like a million dollars after I had a tummy tuck years ago...other than the problem with the anesthesia that I know they botched and ruined my voice. Oh well....at least they didn't cut off a leg! emoticon emoticon Don't laugh...that's happened many times here in the la la land of FL. emoticon

That's why I'm doing EVERYTHING I can to stay healthy and AWAY from the doctors....of course I know there are many good ones...but I haven't found many here laying on the beach working on their perfect tan in my neck of the Palm trees! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I totally did it for the medal! LOL! I'm not sure if I will accumulate enough for a display, but that's a GREAT idea!
