Fit, fat and happy :
That's how I want to be.

Fit ... well because it will help my overall health and help a lot also with my health issues that I have right now. And it's something to be proud of in life.

Fat ... well because I am fat now and I'll still be fat even when I'll lose my overall goal of 224 lbs. loss

Happy ... because I am happy now in my own skin and I want to keep being happy and loving myself no matter the weight I'm at.

My goal is simply to put a stop to the health issues that keeps bumping on me since 2006 and get those under control and lose the weight to help out on that front.

I've lost about 75 lbs. since 2012. Been maintaining the loss for over a year now and I want to get back to losing so that I can feel better with less pain in my body and be in a better shape.


Health update as of October 2016.
Here are the health issues that I'm currently dealing with and that I'm trying to fit into my journey to a healthier version of myself.
I'm in no way negative about any of that.
On the contrary some days I do struggle but I take all those things as experiences to grow from and to shape this person that I'm evolving into everyday.

So far I've been diagnosed with (and for some reasons doctors always say that the conditions are severe) :

-- type 2 diabetes
-- severe PCOS
-- severe IBS
-- anxiety disorder
-- high blood pressure
-- osteoarthritis (severe for my age)
-- lactose intolerant
-- idiopathic urticaria
-- neuropathy
-- some feet problems related to diabetes
-- prone to back sprain and other type of injury like that

I've accepted most of these things and learned to live with them and I've shape my life around it so that I can live as normal a life as possible especially when a couple of those issues are acting out at the same time.
The only thing I struggle with most is the fact that I had to stop working out because of pain issues and now I have difficulties finding workout that are doable for me and that won't cause any more pain.
So that is basically my goal for 2016 ... try an incorporate workout a little more.
October 2016 update : hurt my back pretty badly and it got me to think that I really, really need the rest of the extra weight I carry. Found out that seniors workout are about the only proper thing to do for me right now as the doctor have put it my body is like one coming back from a car accident and needs rehabilitation.
So that's what I'm aiming for for the rest of the year.

2016 : 325.2 lbs. (New Year starting weight)

My Goals:
Focus on what I eat because I've been slipping in the past couple of months.

Do gentle and light workout and build up from there and stop beating myself up because I can't do as much as I was able to. My body needs this period of rehabilitation and moving even if just a little is still better then doing nothing at all.

My Program:

--►follow the nutritionist guidelines for diabetics

--► workout as much as possible while taking my health issues into account

--► be realistic and don't get discourage if some days are not as perfect as I'd like

-- No kiddos but a proud dog owner

Other Information:

-- I enjoy everything that's crafting or close to and that implies creating things.
-- I like video games
-- I like reading, watching TV series but I'm almost always 2-3 seasons behind, I like movies, music, etc ...
-- I enjoy life and can have fun with very little
-- I'm really simple, easily happy and pleased in life.

    Hi Annie,

    I hope things are going well! I LOVE your statements about the difference between good health and fitness, vs. some "ideal" body weight. You are so right! Actually, the science of fitness is coming around, gradually, to this realization. Many overweight or overfat people are fitter and more healthy than their skinny but out-of-shape counterparts. Yes, indeed. It's all about health and loving ourselves. We can be healthy and happy at any weight, if we just allow ourselves to invest in our health and be happy with who we are.

    It has taken me many years to figure this out, Annie. It makes my heart sing to know that you, as a young thing, have this all figured out! You will have a much happier life through your thirties and forties than I did, my sister. I am so happy for you!
