I'm a 37 years old spoonie that lives with a lot of health issues which I'm pretty positive about in the sense that I deal and incorporate them in my life and work with them instead of against them.
My body is in bad shape (especially since I'm dealing with an unknown back injury since October 2016) and I want to loose weight to get fitter and healthier and help release some of the pressure of the weight on my body.

Lost about 70-75 pounds and maintained them since 2012 but I got sidetrack at the end of 2016 with the injury and I want to kickstart my journey again with what I can do.

I'm also a member of the Biggest Loser Challenge in the Scarlet Dragons team which I totally love and well I'm just a human trying to better myself.

I don't work but I don't like spending my days doing nothing either so when my spoons are enough I really love to sculpt and create things and you can find these at this address :

And to close up here is a list of my health issues and I decided to share them just in case someone else is dealing with similar things and to show that it's possible to lose weight and get healthier, it just take a little while longer.

-- type 2 diabetes
-- severe PCOS
-- severe IBS
-- anxiety disorder
-- high blood pressure
-- osteoarthritis (severe for my age)
-- lactose intolerant
-- idiopathic urticaria
-- neuropathy
-- some feet problems related to diabetes
-- prone to back sprain and other type of injury like that

My Goals:


I'd like to get under the 300 pounds by June 2016. Which would mean to lose between 1.5 to 2 pounds per week.
I think it's doable if I stick to my program follow it.

And my main goal would be to get to 250 pounds by the end of the year.

Other than that once I get release to workout again I'd like to start my Tai Chi practice again and use the Stronger Seniors videos I got and Leslie Sansone DVD for cardio. These are good workouts but sensible for me and gentle which is what my body will need.


My Program:


Until I'm released from the doctor to start working out again I plan to :

-- drink 8 glasses of water daily and more
-- control my portions (following the diabetics program I was given)

Other Information:

-- I enjoy everything that's crafting or close to and that implies creating things.
-- I like video games
-- I like reading, watching TV series but I'm almost always 2-3 seasons behind, I like movies, music, etc ...
-- I enjoy life and can have fun with very little
-- I'm really simple, easily happy and pleased in life.

    Hi Annie,

    I saw your post to the Nest today, and I am so sorry you are still suffering, and that you still do not know for how long this will continue.

    Annie, I hope you will continue with the Dragons this summer, even if honorary. This would take the pressure off, but would still allow you to post in the Nest and do all that good Dragon stuff. You can also get all the good Dragon love and support--which I think you really need.

    Annie, I hide when I'm hurting, too. I understand why you stay away from the Nest. I know you do not wish to be negative, make people worry, etc. However, I think you probably need all the Dragon banter, encouragement, funny stories, silly cartoons and so forth when you are hurting. Sometimes a light touch is what we need when we are down.

    So, Annie, no, please do not apologize. Please just stop by the Nest for a visit, even if you do not feel up to writing a whole post, or even anything at all. We understand. We know you want to go full out. You just can't right now, and that is okay. As you know, as a team we place more value on love and compassion than on performance on the ITCs, numbers on the scale and all that stuff.

    I hope you have a better day tomorrow, and I hope you can do some sculpting. If you have anything new, please share pictures with us. You know how we love your work!
