Taking back my health

THE NEW ME 2013. I HAVE SOME HEALTH CHALLENGES BUT I DO NOT LET THEM CONTROL ME OR USE THEM AS A EXCUSE. I WORK THUR THEM AND ON THEM. I HAVE LEARNED TO ENJOY AND LOVE EXERCISE. ALTHOUGH STRENGTHENING NEEDS TO BE WORKED ON.

I COMMIT TO A REGULAR EXERCISE. 20-80 MINUTES A DAY. 5-6 DAYS A WEEK. I WILL MONITOR MYSELF WITH GOAL I DO NOT WANT TO OVER DO..BUT I DO PLAN ON BEING ACTIVE.

I COMMIT TO MAINTAINING A DAILY FOOD AND EXERCSIE DIARY. ON SPARK OR ON PAPER.

I WILL WORK ON REMOVING ALL JUNK FOODS, FOODS HIGH IN SUGAR CONTENT, ADDICTIVE FOODS--I CRAVE FROM MY CABINETS, REFRIGERATOR, FREEZER AND HOUSE.

I COMMIT TO BEING ACCOUNTABILITY TO MYSELF AND TEAM OR GROUP.

1 COMMIT TO EATING THREE MEALS A DAY AND TWO SNACKS AND LIMIT EATING COMPLEX CARBS AFTER 7:00 PM.

I COMMIT TO EATING BREAKFAST LIKE A KING, LUNCH LIKE A PRINCE, AND DINNER LIKE A PAUPER.

I COMMIT TO SAYING TO MYSELF EVERY DAY, I FORGIVE MYSELF, ACCEPT MYSELF, AND LOVE MYSELF", EVEN IF I CHEAT OR FALL.

I UNDERSTAND THAT FAILURE TO COMPLY MAY SABOTAGE MY WEIGHT LOSS GOAL. I AGREE TO ADHERE TO ALL OF THE ABOVE COMMITMENTS IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE WEIGHT LOSS.


If anyone is like me they find different things to add to to list to distract me and keep them from eating when it is not time to eat


1. Distance myself from the desired food. Go outside etc.


2. Chewing gum or drink green tea. Drink low cal or no cal beverage like green teas, club soda, water. (At present time I am in my 3rd round of BLC and I am off one of my medications that lower blood sugars.) I havE lost neXt to 15 pounds. I have to stay on guard though SO I do not have to worry about going low if I do not eat. I will use food from my free list if lightly hungry but if I am starving. try a small apple, veggie plate-- of broccoli, carrots celery peppers, cherry tomatoes, lettuce or boiled egg whites with grapes, cucumbers slices with FF LC ranch dressing or laughing cow cheese with light salted rice cakes, or 1/2 cup applesauce sugar free or a small fruit like blueberries or berries smoothie made with light almond milk or soy blueberries.) I will use this technique: Over come craving sweet desire by sucking on lemons salty by: eating a pickle, Garlicky or spicy desired of foods by: Chewing gum (mint) tic tacs mints and peppermint candy sugar free only allotting myself 1-2 pieces.


3. Exercise-- 10 min session of pilates for relaxing--yoga if possible, slow walking, deep breathing, Cleaning out closets or my bed room dresser drawer or re-organiize it.

4. Pray believing God will take me thur this time of testing or trial. Develop and use victory verses of the bible over temptation. devotions

5. Cleaning/scrubbing floors, tub etc.

6. Do self care like napping, facials, use tea bags or cucumber sliced on eyes. Yes tea bags and cucumber slices are great on puffy and tired eyes. They feel cool and refreshing. Pedicures or manicures. .


7. Do crocheted projects. Keeping my hands busy really helps and I love crocheting anyway. I have started using wire to make beaded and wire jewelry recently. I like having pieces that I have made with my own hands and get compliments.


8. Go shopping--window shop for inexpensive items.or Leave the room.



I will copy this and print it out and cover it in a plastic cover. that way it will not get dirty or lost or messed up with food stains.


MY SKILLS FOR COMBATING STRESS.


1. Distractions tech/Resistance tech/ Journal about food..write about the texture and taste on paper and leave it there. Write feelings down, exercise. pilates or take walk
self care-facials, pedicures, manicures, drink green tea, chewing gum, take deep breaths, PUSH PRAY UNTIL SOME HAPPENS.

2. Check with teams members, my sister just volunteered to be my diet/exercise partner. Email her or talk to her about my diet etc. to a limit.

3. PRAY MORE.

4. KEEPING MY HANDS BUSY...I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED CROCHETING. THE SUMMER MONTHS ARE CHALLENGING. I SAID THIS BUT I AM CURRENTLY CROCHETING FOR THE FALL AND SUMMER MONTHS. I DO NOT WANT ANYTHING HOT ON ME BUT I WILL WORK AROUND THAT. WIRE BEADING PROJECTS.

5. DEEP BREATHING TECHNIQUES. NOTHING NEW AGY!



PRAYER FOR HEALING AND I SHALL PRAY IT EVERYDAY. I BELIEVE!!!!


Heavenly Father, I thank you for your Living Word. You said that your Word is Life to those who find it and medicine to all their flesh.

Today, by my confession, I apply your Word giving voice to it.

You said in Psalm 139:14 that we are fearfully and wonderfully made and that your works are marvelous. I declare that we are created by you and that we area marvelous creation.

I speak to sickness and disease today and proclaim that according to Philippians 2:10 that they must bow down to the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Every name in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth bows its knee to Jesus�

I speak to sickness & infirmities today and declare that I have authority over it.

I command it to receive the Word of God. Matthew 8:17 proclaims that Jesus bore our sicknesses and took our infirmities.

Heavenly Father, I thank you that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us and makes alive our mortal body.

I speak to immune systems and command them to line up with the Word of God.

I thank you Father that every cell responds to your Word. That your Word permeates bodys from the top of there heads to the bottom of there feet.

I confess that the Word of God is being made flesh in all who have come for prayer

Psalm 103:3 declares that you Father, forgave all my iniquities and healed all my diseases. Father, that is your confession and I make it my confession also. I don�t judge by the sight of my eyes, I judge by your Living Word. It is your Word that lives in me and brings health and healing to every part of my body.

Heavenly Father, I rejoice at your promise of divine health.

You said it and I believe it! Today,

I declare that I will see your promise of healing manifest in all who have prayed this prayer ..Amen


Our Weapons of Spiritual Warfare



Scriptures say these weapons of spiritual warfare look simple but are powerful in overcoming the enemy

In the natural realm there is us, God�s servants on one side and on the other there are people knowingly or unknowingly being used by the devil, our main enemy. In the spiritual realm there is God almighty and his entire government of angels in their various roles and ranks. On the other spiritual realm side is the devil and his entire alliance of fallen angels in their various roles and ranks.

Most of what we see from the scripture is that the battle is his and our concern is to focus on him rather than on Satan. In fact, Satan�s influence over the outcome of any battle is so insignificant that he�s the one to be pitied for having started any battle � if only we do our part.

Thus the distortion that Satan is the focus in any battle ought to be totally demolished.

Heavenly Father, I bow in worship and praise before You. I cover myself with the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ as my protection. I surrender myself completely and unreservedly in every area of my life to You. I take a stand against all the workings of satan that would hinder me in my prayer life. I address myself only to the true and living God and refuse any involvement of satan in my prayer. Satan, I command you, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, to leave my presence with all of your demons. I bring the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ between us.

MY GOALS FOR ROUND BLC24TH ROUND

I WILL BE CARRYING GOALS THAT WORKED FOR ME LAST TWO ROUNDS OF BLC. I HAD A LOT OF SUCCESS LAST ROUND. I THINK I WILL HAVE MORE SUCCESS THIS ROUND. emoticon

MY GOALS WILL INCLUDE BODY, MIND AND SOUL/SPIRIT. I FOUND OUT FOR ME. IF THEY ARE ALL IN TUNE THE WEIGHT WILL TAKE CARE OF ITSELF.

BODY---VEGGIES 4-5 DAILY I WILL INCLUDE JUICING TO HELP WITH VEGGIES. I HAVE GROWN TO LOVE JUICING. CELERY, CARROT AND CUCUMBER JUICE AWESOME AND ONE OF MY FAVS. I HAVE TRIED KALE WITH LEMON AND CUCUMBER ALSO. TRY MORE GREEN VEGGIES TO JUICE DAILY. EAT AN APPLE A DAY. I ONLY USED FRUIT JUICE LIKE APPLES WITH CUCUMBER. I DO NOT USE FRUITS IN MY JUICING EXCEPT APPLES. I'D RATHER EAT THE FRUIT WHOLE. TRY NEW VEGGIES AND FRUITS WHEN POSSIBLE. INCREASE MY RAW VEGGIES INTAKE SINCE I LIKE RAW BETTER THAN COOKED. INTAKE 8-10 GLASSES OF WATER DAILY. HAVE AT LAST 2 CUPS OF GREEN TEA DAILY. CUT OUT JUNK FOOD AND ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS. AVOID EXTREME HIGH CARB FOOD(IE FOODS THAT MAKE MY BLOOD SUGARS SOAR) GO MEATLESS ONE DAY A WEEK. AVOID ALL FRIED FOOD. SLASH MY INTAKE OF REFINED GRAINS AND FLOURS. WORK ON REDUCING SALT INTAKE. ONLY HAVE SPEICAL GOODIES IN MODERATION. MONITOR MYSELF WHILE HAVING THE TREAT. ONLY HAVE SPECIAL TREATS ON SPECIAL OCCASIONS IN MODERATION. INCLUDE OATMEAL AT LEAST THREE TO FIVE DAYS A WEEK. NO EATING PAST 9:00 PM AND OR 2 HOURS BEFORE GOING TO BED. EAT AT LEAST 35 GRAMS OF FIBER AND GO FROM THERE. WORK TOWARD 45 GRAMS. PLAN MY MEALS AND SNACKS MORE. USE MY BECK DISTRACTION TECHNIQUES IF I AM NOT REALLY HUNGRY BUT WANT TO EAT.

emoticon EXERCISE--AT LEAST 6 DAYS A WEEK. CARDIO (IE-- AEROBICS AT LEAST 30 MINS. TREADMILL 20-30 MINS. BIKE 40 MINS. MY ENDURANCE HAS IMPROVED AND I WOULD LIKE TO WORK ON IT GOING FORWARD. OF COURSE I HAVE TO GAUGE MY ENERGIES WHILE WORKING OUT LONGER. WEIGHTS HOW I HATE THEM! YES I KNOW THE BENEFITS ECT.....ST 2 TIMES A WEEK AND WORK TOWARD 3 TIMES A WEEK. USE DIFFERENT MUSCLE GROUPS AT LEAST TWICE A WEEK GO FROM THERE. DO AT LEAST 6 EXERCISING AND WORK TOWARD 8 EXERCISES. AFTER A 4 WEEK PERIOD. USE PILATES AND YOGA TO REPLACE WHEN I ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT DO WEIGHTS. HOPEFULLY THIS WORKS AS I FOLLOW A ROUTINE I CAN LIVE WITH. S/T IS NOT MY FAVORITE AND BUILD FROM THERE. IF I WANT RESULTS I'LL HAVE TO PUSH PAST NOT MY FAVS TO REACH MY GOALS. ALL OF MY EXERCISE IS DONE INSIDE BECAUSE OF EXTREME ALLERGIES AND ASTHMA WHICH IS WELL CONTROLLED AT PRESENT TIME AND I WANT TO KEEP IT THAT WAY. I HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE TO KEEP MY MP3 PLAYER, A STASH OF GUM(IT HELPS ME KEEP TIME AND BREATH) AND BATTERIES. WATER BOTTLE!

MIND/REST IS IMPORTANT FOR MY WELL BEING, REBUILDING AND REJUVENATION. IN BED AT 11:30 PM ON WEEK DAYS. I STRUGGLE WITH STAYING UP TOO LATE. I WILL START A ROUTINE OF HAVING CHAMOMILE TEA BEFORE SLEEP TIME. IT HELPS WITH SLEEP NATURALLY. MONITOR EMOTIONS AS I AM AN EMOTIONAL EATER. WORKING ON IT DAY BY DAY. STAY IN TOUCH WITH MYSELF. DON'T EAT ABOUT IT TALK ABOUT IT. IF I CAN NOT TALK TO THE OFFENDER THEN WRITE ABOUT IT. BURN THE NOTE. I THINK OF FIRE AS CLEANSER CONCERNING WRITING IT OUT OR WRITING ABOUT IT. BURNING THE NOTE FOR ME IS A RELEASE TECHNIQUE. THIS WORKS WELL WHEN I AM ANGRY. IF POSSIBLE I TALK TO THE OFFENDER IE (HUBBIE OR OTHERS ) LETTING THINGS FESTER DOES NOT WORK FOR THE EMOTIONAL EATER. DURING TIMES OF STRESS TAKE GREEN TEA BREAKS, PATIO BREAKS WHEN WEATHER PERMITS. (NOT HOT OR COLD) I ENJOY EATING BREAKFAST WHILE WATCHING BIRDS ON OUR PATIO. I USE THIS AS A STRESS RELIEVER AS TIMES. IT WORKS WELL FOR ME TO GET AWAY FROM THINGS SOMETIMES JUST TO TAKE A BREATH HELPS TO CLEAN THE MIND. I ENJOY DOING CRAFTS TOO. SO I INTEND ON CROCHETING A COUPLE WEARABLE S THIS WINTER. I'LL DO MY BEADING/WIRE PROJECTS. I ENJOY STAR GAZING IN THE WINTER. SO WHEN IT IS TIME TO BRAKE AWAY FROM THINGS THE STARS WILL SHINE. emoticon PAMPERING IE FACIALS,MANI/PEDI ETC. I FOUND OUT SELF CARE IS IMPORTANT FOR ME. I DEAL WITH STRESS ONGOING AS A MOM OF SPECIAL NEEDS TEENAGER. (BUT HE IS THE ONE OF THE JEWELS OF MY HEART.) USE EXERCISE AS STRESS RELIEVER. PRAYERS WORK FOR ME TOO.

TEMPLE --DAILY BIBLE READING/DEVOTIONALS START MY DAY WITH SCRIPTURE READING, STUDY AND DEVOTIONALS. GOD HAS GIVEN ME POWER OVER MY FOOD CHOICES. I'M SUPPOSED TO CONSUME FOOD. FOOD ISN'T SUPPOSED TO CONSUME ME. 11 COR 12:9-1 "BUT HE SAID TO ME, "MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU, FOR MY POWER IS MADE PERFECT IN WEAKNESS...FOR WHEN I AM WEAK, THEN I AM STRONG." WHEN TEMPTED, EITHER REMOVE THE TEMPTATION OR REMOVE MYSELF FROM THE TEMPTATION. 1 COR 10: 13-14,...GOD IS FAITHFUL; HE WILL NOT LET YOU BE TEMPTED BEYOND WHAT YOU CAN BEAR. BUT WHEN YOU ARE TEMPTED, HE WILL PROVIDE A WAY OUT SO THAT YOU CAN STAND UP UNDER IT. THEREFORE, MY DEAR FRIEND FLEE...."

I love crocheting, and have LEARNED TO READ PATTERNS BETTER! I have made several items but always give them away.I love Taking my own spins on the designs especially if I don't understand the instructions. I have begun to work with wire and beading. I have have given items to my family and close friends. I enjoy looking fornew crocheting patterns and new beading designs some with wire. I am a christain who loves reading Gods word. I love start gazing and have been known to zap on a coat in the winter time to see the stars. I think winter times is the best time to view the stars.

emoticon Pat! I hope you don't mind, but I'm visiting spark members that are celebrating our LORD JESUS. May we never forget the true meaning of Easter.
