Mother In Love with Fitness

What began as Project: Move It! , nearly four years ago, has lead me down paths I hadn't mapped out. I set out to make movement a habit. I ended up leading group fitness classes and participating in 10k races. I've challenged myself along the way and discovered that I can hold a shoulder stand, I can run a mile in under 10minutes, I can do things I hadn't considered or desired doing in many long years. I have even involved the family in my fitness adventure, and I have almost all of them ...

I've challenged myself along the way and discovered that I can hold a shoulder stand, I can run a mile in under 10minutes, I can do things I hadn't considered or desired doing in many long years. I have even involved the family in my fitness adventure, and I have almost all of them sold on the idea of doing 5ks as a family.
I've learned some things, and observed quiet a lot, thus far on this adventure, and I'm just so grateful . Get up and move!

My Goals:

My Program:
I enjoy taking and teaching group fitness classes. I am learning to enjoy running.

I say "No thank you!" to diets and dieting and those weight loss programs/food plans. I do, however, think tracking apps are helpful with reaching goals. They assist in the cultivation of mindfulness.

I try to take a common sense approach to nutrition. Keep things as unprocessed as possible.

Personal Information:
ACE certified group fitness instructor. Busy mother, wife, and volunteer.

I once weighed 260lbs. I lost 100 lbs, without ever making weight loss my goal. No diets either. My goals focused on activity and movement. It worked for me.

Other Information:
Real change happens when health, not vanity, is the focus.

You are looking strong and fit!!! Thank you for your comments on my blog. There is something so lovely about being heard and being acknowledged and when you leave a comment on a blog it really is an act of kindness. I appreciate it. How nice you live are close with your mother. My daughter is returning home for the holidays and we are all exciting - including her!. She was born an independent soul and cosmopolitan at that so Redding is not a good fit for her at this time. Nonetheless I would love to have her with me all the time - well almost.

I would LOVE to try yoga, extreme interest here. I am looking for the following: affordable, beginners classes, and times I can go (weekends/evenings). If you know of any, please let me know! I have been looking but all I can find are on weekday mornings or over $20 a session.
