Though the current text is pretty accurate, as I'm considering today to be the first day of a brand new chapter of my life, I want to revamp my page a bit.
So to start: my name is Ashley. I am thirty years old, married, and a medical lab scientist.
I love Star Wars, reading, making jewelry, doing dream work, taking walks through beautiful places with my dog, and building good strong relationships with my family and friends.
I have been overweight from a young age for a variety of reasons, but mainly due to depression and overeating. Finally though, after years of struggling with depression, and strong emotions that I couldn't deal with, and extreme unhealthy beliefs about myself and the world, I'm finally starting to resolve some of those things. With the undoing of old belief systems and the tentative beginnings of new belief systems, I am hoping this is finally my time to start focusing on healthy life style habits and successfully maintaining them.
Write in my journal once a week.
Track my food and exercise on SparkPeople three times weekly.
Take my dog for at least 3 walks a week in nice weather.
This might change as I get more accustomed to my new schedule.
Joined the YMCA with my husband. Our goal is to go at least twice a week with each other. While I would prefer to go at least 5 days a week on my own, I'm going to set the goal for three days. I plan on using one of those days to meet with the personal trainer. Two days to do a group fitness class, and two days to use the exercise room.
I plan on us making healthier more nutritious meals and eating out less.
I am from Illinois. Not far from Chicago.
I'm a Star Wars freak, I love the movies, the books, I have tshirts and other memorabilia even if I gave a lot of it to my younger brother. I enjoy making jewelry and greeing cards, doing dreamwork, spending time with my family, friends, and dog. When
