Forging a New Me

I'm a mom of two preschoolers, a wife and work full-time doing scientific research and analysis. I've had a minor weight problem most of my adult life. My health habits were abysmal--very sedentary, fast food / convenience/processed food diet. After my kids were born the wieght problem got worse. I'm here to change those unhealthy habits. I want to teach my children about healthy living, both eating and physical activity, through example so they won't grow up with unhealthy habits as I did.

My Goals:

Eat a healthy diet high in fruits, vegetables, whole grains and other natural foods; low in saturated fat, cholesterol, sugar, and processed foods.

Incorporate more physical activity into my daily routine through planned exercise and other physical activities done for enjoyment.

My Program:

Modified Zig-Zag Diet

1 hr. Zumba classes 2x/week

30 min. other aerobic activities 2-3x/week

Strengh Training 2-3x/week
