I want to lose enough weight to control my type 2 diabetes with diet and exercise only.
I want to lose a total of 130 pounds.
I want to increase my self esteem and self confidence.
I want to exercise at least 4 days a week.
I am working on cutting way back on carbs, eating lots of veggies and some fruits. I dont want to go hog wild on a strict very low carb diet....I dont do well with such strict rules!
My name is Julie and I have 2 great kids. I have had type 2 diabetes for a few years. I am a nursing student working towards my doctorate in the hopes that I will be a nurse practitioner one day. I need to lose this weight so that I am taken seriously by my future patients. I want to be a role model to them.
I see from your teams that you are in Wisconsin! I was born in Appleton, and all my extended family lives up there! So you totally know what I'm used to as far as church culture! It was hard getting used to everything down here, but I've learned to be patient and just deal with it, because if you speak up or don't go with the flow, someone will try to make you go to their church! Lol
Unfortunately, the place I work out at doesn't have showers, and I just have to wrap myself in a towel and drive home. It makes it hard to sneak off :(
