Monday started out as a challenge and continued right up until bedtime. I am not sure what's in the water, but my daughter definitely got an overdose of energy in overdrive. Wish she'd share some! LOL Yesterday I traveled 2 1/2 hours to the doctor, only to find out that when I called on Friday to verify my appointment, the receptionist canceled my appointment. She was very defensive and insisted that I had cancelled several other appointments, which I never had nor scheduled. I honestly have no idea where they came from?? I am not going back there and will find another doctor. However, this darn pain is still with me. Now it's my challenge to find a way to ease it.
That's my update. Please tell me yours.
Thought for today:
There comes a time in life when you have to let go of all the pointless drama and people who create it and surround yourself with people who make you laugh so hard you forget about the bad and focus soley on the good. After all, life is too short to be anything but happy. Eleanore Roosevelt
Happy Skinny Tuesday...sounds better than fat, doesn't it? I really dislike the word "fat” To me, fat means F forget A about T thinking. We get heavier when we stop thinking about our goal.
For me, I am going to make this day very special for my health. No, not by deiting, but by thinking. Today I started to add 5 minutes more of prayer time ( 5X 7 = 35 min. extra per wk) ; 5 mins more of exercising every day (5 X 7= 35 mins extra per wk); increasing my daily steps by 20 steps each day (20 X 7 = 100 extra steps per week); eating an extra veggie per meal per day (3 X 7 = 21 extra veggies per wk). I am going to do this for my Lent . Many people give up; me, I am going to do more this Lent. Doing more is a way to take care of the body God gave me.
Hope you find a way to make your day special for YOU.
Thought for today: When something bad happens to you, you have three choices: You can either let it define YOU. Let it destroy You. Or, you can let it strengthen YOU.
Wow, it's Monday Morning and we've been given this day as a gift just for us to enjoy. We'll discover it's blessings and it's challenges, everything to keep us from being bored. LOL So I must say have a happy week, discoverying all the joys, blessings, surprises, and challenges it holds for you. Really, we have wo much to be grateful about.
Thought for today;
Greet everyone you meet with a warm smile. No matter how busy you are, don't rush enounters with co-workers, family and friends. Speak softly. Listen attentively. Act as if every conversation you have is the most important thing on your mind today. Look your children and your partner in the eyes when they talk to you. Stroke the cat, caress the dog. Lavish love on every living being you meet. See how different you feel at the end of the day.
Oh what a wonderful day...we are alive and given the gift of this day!! Plus it is a day of rest, as well as a day we get to worship the Lord!
Just wanted to say, “Have a great week.” If things have not been going as well as you like, you get a new beginning. And if they have been going well, you have an opportunity to inspire others with your successes.
This pass week I did not make a wise decision and this quote so expresses what I learned from my mistake:
“We achieve inner health only through forgiveness - the forgiveness not only of others but also of ourselves” Joshua Loth Liebman quotes
