Thank you for the tip on egg yolks. I've been trying to figure out a way to thicken sauces and gravies w/o flour. I thought I'd read that arrowroot works for that, but now I can't remember for sure, so I think I'll try the yolks!
I really appreciate your support on my 40 lb loss blog! I've been wanting to write a blog like that since day one and when I was finally able to and declared victory the responses I received were AWESOME! Thank you so much for taking the time to congratulate me!
Well I tested it and it was not as good as I hoped, but it was good enough for me. :) This works real well with white flour but that is a no-no on P3 so I tried it with flaxseed meal. I don't know if it is ok or not.
1/4 cup flaxseed meal 1/4 cup milk 1 egg Butter for pan
I put the flaxseed meal in my bullet/blender and blended it a fine as i could. Then added the milk and egg - this just needs to be mixed.
In muffin pan, add a 1/2 tea of butter to 4 tins. Heat in the oven while you preheat it to 400 deg. Take the pan out when it is melted.
Divide the batter into 4 muffin tins and return the pan to the oven for 20 min.
(With flour it takes 15 min. but the flax they were still wet inside. I popped them out of the pan and into the microwave for 1 min.) Cut open and add Reddi whip.
