Everyday keeps me going to the next.

The "diet" my doctor put me on has proven to be something I need to do for the long-term. Low carbs in my life has improved IBS symptoms, my skin is much nicer and the weight is melting off. Such a motivator when my ketostick turns purple every morning! Keeps me on track :)

Believe in your strength and your truth.

I did the nutrition thing when I started with Sparkpeople and also when I was still working. I too was horrified when I added it all up. No wonder I was getting fat. If I were not working I would have been 500 lbs if I still ate that way.
I mean it was fast food, doughnuts a restaurant breakfast with all the trimmings, and of course at work, we would lunch on pizza or some kind of a function where we had everything, and not to forget the good "ol" vending machines! I totaled one day up, and I had over 6000 calories and I couldn't tell you how much sodium, but it was whopping! 2 trips to fast foods or restaurants every day, and when I got home, I didn't have time to cook by the time I got ready for bed, showered it was time to go to sleep, it was just easier for me to do the other. Unfortunately that is our thinking in our society today. emoticon Oh yeah and my numerous runs to the grocery store after work for "JUNK FOOD" and I was set!!! When I look back at that life, no wonder I have diabetes. Urkkkkkkkkkk
