Hi, I'm Ginny!

I'm a happily married, stay-at-home wife and mom to 2 sweet girls and follower of Jesus Christ.

I began the Spark People journey in the summer of 2009. I lost 20 pounds then found out I was pregnant. I had girl number 1 in July 2010 and fifteen months later had girl number 2 in November 2011. Hi, I'm Ginny!

I'm a happily married, stay-at-home wife and mom to 2 sweet girls and follower of Jesus Christ.

I began the Spark People journey in the summer of 2009. I lost 20 pounds then found out I was pregnant. I had girl number 1 in July 2010 and fifteen months later had girl number 2 in November 2011. Since having my large babies (9 lbs 8 oz and 11 lbs 4 oz) I've struggled to get the weight off. I know it's a lack of discipline when it comes to eating and huge lack of exercise.

Thankfully, I have a supportive husband (he lost 70 pounds over 2.5 years using this wonderful site) and has maintained his weight loss. He continues to make healthy choices and watch his portions. Because of this accountability, I can make healthy choices too.

I enjoy cooking/baking and just being in the kitchen, walking, Taebo, Core Secrets, reading, writing, studying the Bible, being involved in church activities, playing Wii with my husband Daniel, loving on our baby girls and swimming at my mother-in-law's house.

My Goals:
1. Track my nutrition 7 days a week using SP.
2. Walk for 20-30 minutes Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday to jump start my metabolism for the day.
3. Exercise 4-5 days a week. I'll be running, doing Taebo videos and Core Secrets videos (strength training and cardio).

Personal Information:
I am married to a wonderful, loving man and we joined this site together in June 2009.

We welcomed our first sweet girl in July 2010 and our second sweet girl in November 2011. Yes, you're reading that right, they're 15 months apart. Yes we're very busy! :)

Other Information:
This is a great, free site that is such an encouragement. I feel like it takes a lot of the guess work out of eating better and exercising. I'm glad a friend recommended this site to my husband and me.

That's so great you're getting other people involved! I know what you mean about not being able to tell a difference: I didn't notice any real changes in myself until I'd lost almost 25 pounds! Hey, are you taking measurements? That's a great way to track your progress besides the scale, and it's exciting to see the numbers change when sometimes not much happens on the scale.
