Loosing It With Ginny1215

After years of excuses and denial, I finally resolved to turn my life around with hard work, determination, proper nutritional intake and exercise. I have been overweight most of my adult life....started with marriage and birth of two children, then ate my way through divorce, depression and back surgeries that left me disabled and unable to work. I used pain as an excuse to remain overweight thinking I could not exercise and medication made it nearly impossible to lose weight through diet ...

I used pain as an excuse to remain overweight thinking I could not exercise and medication made it nearly impossible to lose weight through diet alone. Now I am medication free and working to change my life, one pound at a time.

I totally agree. It is true -- it's difficult to take care of yourself when you just don't care! Thanks for the comment and the support! Take care, Rae

Well, I wish you success on your journey too! It makes it extra difficult with thyroid disease to lose weight, but not impossible. That's the big lesson I learned. It takes longer, but you can do it.

If there is anything I can do for you, please just ask!

Ginny, thank you so much for your response and encouragement to my blog. Whenver I start feeling down, I try to remember that there are so many hurting people out there who are in truly dire situations and need help and prayers. I need to remember to enjoy my life and the present, stop worrying about the future, and to remember the people who care about me.

You have been through so much yourself and I admire your attitude and strength. Together with the help of our SP friends, we can get our bodies as healthy as they can be. emoticon
