Since I've been ill, I've not been getting out and doing too much. Sometimes head down to Kailua Beach on Sunday mornings, but that's about it. Now that I am finally starting to feel better, I hope to get back out and start having fun again.
Good luck with student teaching! What grade are you doing? My minor was in secondary education, middle school was my favorite. Old enough you can reason with them, but still young enough you can intimidate them.
Looks like we both have reason to look forward to May! What does your husband plan on doing once he leaves the military? Casey hits 10 years in January and still has 6 years left in his flight contract, so we'll definitely be staying in for 20, at a minimum. At that point, we'll reassess the situation and see where we stand.
Will you be coming back to Hawaii for your husband's homecoming? 2874 days ago
Aloha lady! So the day after I sent you that last comment we got some BIG news - I'm pregnant! It was a bit of a surprise, but we are pretty excited. I'm due around May 15. So needless to say, I've not been using SP to try and lose weight, although I have lost a few pounds due to morning sickness anyway. I need to gain 10 pounds over the next 8 weeks to be on target. Problem is that I have zero appetite. Hopefully that will be changing soon now I am starting my second trimester.
How are things for you? How is deployment going - when does he come home? We found out last week that Casey has been picked up as an alternate for an IA tour - it's 3 months training in Fort Riley, KS and a year in Afghanistan. He definitely has to do the training (leaves Jan 4 and should be home in April) but hopefully everything will go well and he won't have to go to Afghanistan. If something happens to the primary guy and he has to go, he'll not only miss the birth but the baby's entire first year. :( I'm praying that doesn't happen. The upside to it is that he was originally scheduled to deploy 2 weeks after the birth, but as long as he is on standby for this IA he is not deployable. So hopefully it works out that he'll actually be able to be around.
