The Less of Me the Better

Just a 45yo old guy trying to lose some of those extra pounds. I was wearing size 38 and 40 pants. Yikes. I can't believe it. I'm on the treadmill 6x a week about 2-3 miles per day just walking 3.5-4.2mph. I just have to contol my one addiction..FOOD. Most importantly I want to take care of my health. Since early October I have lost 43 pounds. Wearing 34 pants but ready for 33s At this time looking to lose 2 more pounds then see where I'm at. Even though that leaves me with a BMI ...

I'm on the treadmill 6x a week about 2-3 miles per day just walking 3.5-4.2mph. I just have to contol my one addiction..FOOD. Most importantly I want to take care of my health. Since early October I have lost 43 pounds. Wearing 34 pants but ready for 33s At this time looking to lose 2 more pounds then see where I'm at. Even though that leaves me with a BMI of 25.6, I don't look well less than that. Even my Dr agrees! She said BMI is just a general tool. I use to have a 32 BMI now I am at 25.8. Woo hoo!

My Goals:
Some of my goals are to lose 45 pounds to get back down to 178 where i belong, lowering my cholesterol and blood pressure, adapting to healthier eating habits, and to get my metabolism up with daily exercise.

My Program:
Im doing cardio 6x a week and hope to eventually add some weight training. In addition im trying to eat 5-6 small meals a day and of course..drinking the obligatory water

Personal Information:
Joe here from NYC/Queens but a Cincinnati native. I'm a Licensed Massage Therapist And radiologic technologist who should be in much better shape!

Other Information:
With all these gyms in NYC having several floors..why is everyone in such a rush to work out but NOTHING stops them from waiting for an elevator for five minutes instead of just taking the stairs?
