Hi ! I am fairly new to this site ,but not to dieting! I have tried anything and everything. I have learned a lot about myself and dieting so nothing has really been a bad experience just a learning experience. I am embarking on a new journey one that comes from within my mental state as well as physical body. The Gabriel Method is not a diet but a lifestyle and I don't have to force myself to only eat 1200 cal per day. I will eat and I will eat healthy because that's all my body has ever wanted. Except for the apple crisp I make at christmas!!! It wants that all the time!! But I can have that too! yahoo! I am just going to teach my body that it doesn't have to store the extra fat for a rainy day....there's lots to eat!

My Goals:
My goals are to loose 35-40 lbs and stay there! I want to do this in a healthy way . I want to be happy in mind body and spirit.


My Program:
I am starting a program called "The Gabriel Method" There is a new Spark team that has just started if you are familiar with Jon Gabriel or would like to get more information join the team or ask me I'd love to help out.



Personal Information:
I am 41 yrs old, happily married with no children unless you count my cat ,Tia , and my husband.(Kidding) I live in California,but have lived in Florida , Canada, and a few other places in between. My dad was an expert Chef who made the most tasty meals but they of course were extremely rich and fattening.My grandma was a baker so you can imagine what I ate when we went over there...... My family also came from the state of mind if it's on your plate you eat it all or you don't leave the table. So I still find it difficult to stop eating even when I know I should. I am trying not to feel guilty when I leave something on my plate . I think alot of my eating habits come from thoughts within and that is what I want to address.


Other Information:
Favorite book is still "Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit".

    I hope you are doing well. I checked in on the Gabriel team and there are 30 members, that's great. Glad to see the method is catching on.

    I am doing well, exercising a lot and still following the plan. i feel great and that is the most important to me at this point.

    Just thinking about you and wanted to say hi.

    GG, where've you been? Missed you lately on the site. emoticon emoticon How've you been doing? Ok, okay, I'll give you the recipe (sorry I didn't see your post sooner or I would have put it in before). Here goes:

    (I got it from allrecipes.com site - can modify it as you think fit)
    Watermelon Cooler Slushy
    4 C cubed seedless watermelon
    10 ice cubes
    1/3 C fresh lime juice
    1/4 C white sugar
    1/8 tsp salt

    Place watermelon and ice into a blender. Pour in lime juice, sugar and salt. Blend until smooth.

    Hi Legalsec,
    Why don't you try the xylitol that Jon Gabriel suggests? I also think that you should ummm.....pass on the recipe to some of your friends especially one named GG!!!!Hmm,Hmm,HMM!!!

    Hey GG....thanks for the goody. emoticon Makes me want to try out a recipe I have for a watermelon cooler slushy, except I need to use a substitute for the 1/4 C white sugar it calls for. emoticon
