So much has changed in my life since the last time I was on SP (which I'm ashamed to say was 2012). I am now the proud GiGi (grandmom) of 2 beautiful boys. Both my daughters & their families live with my husband and I, so to say the least, we have a VERY full house. There are 8 of us, along with 3 dogs and 3 cats...LOL. I don't mind it most days, but like everything else in ...

So much has changed in my life since the last time I was on SP (which I'm ashamed to say was 2012). I am now the proud GiGi (grandmom) of 2 beautiful boys. Both my daughters & their families live with my husband and I, so to say the least, we have a VERY full house. There are 8 of us, along with 3 dogs and 3 cats...LOL. I don't mind it most days, but like everything else in life, it has it's days.

I have a full life, but for far too long I've put myself last, & not really stuck to trying to live a healthier lifestyle. NO MORE!!! I've decided the best way to find more about who I am & what I want out of life is to become LESS of the person I am now & to become active & healthy.

I've struggled with my weight since I hit puberty, but the largest I'd ever been in my life was in 2009 when I weighed in at 288 lbs. It was extremely hard for me to accept I had gotten to that point, but even harder for me to comprehend that less than 5 years earlier, I was about 170 lbs. I completely broke down that day & decided something had to be done. I realized I've been trying to lose weight for over 2 decades & I knew what caused me to gain weight & what didn't, so I decided to slowly cut back on the amount I was eating & started to exercise more. I started by going to the gym 2 or 3 days/wk for 30 minutes & progressed to 5 days/wk for 1 hour. I found that exercise helped me have a better attitude & love myself more.
Sadly...I didn't stick with it. I fell into depression and just gave up. I've been through more in the last couple of years than I really want to get into, but I find myself back up to 250 lbs. I can't just keep going the way I've been going and I know that, so I'm back and starting at square one. I've got a way to go, but I know if I keep on going I'll eventually get there.

When I get to the end of this great journey....I want my family & friends to be able to say....GIGI DISAPPEARED!!!!!
